The Flow Into Us

The Microgeny and the Flow into Us

The microgeny flows through all consciousness. The perfect Source flows unceasingly into us, all-knowing, all-seeing, renewed in every moment.

See “The Microgeny: Eternal Recreation” in unity-of-consciousness.php.

The Flow into Us

Each moment of the microgeny, taken together, constitutes a never-ending explosive outward flow from the Source. This is the flow of the light of consciousness through the broadest nonphysical divisions of consciousness, then into every reincarnating self outside the higher frequency domains around the physical multiverse, then through our dream selves in the astral and eventually into us, forming our physically-oriented consciousness. In each tiniest moment, the flow begins in the universal and ends in the specific.

The Source provides consciousness to all through the flow. It is the Source’s consciousness looking out through our eyes at this very moment. Our attention focuses that very consciousness into experiencing physical life and solving our daily problems.

The Source flows outward through psychological time.

The Stream of Becoming

Think of the eternal flow from the Source as a bright river of molten light rushing downwards. I refer to this as “the stream”. Our consciousness is like a bubble rising up the stream. When open, empty of thoughts, we are tiny, offering no resistance, rising upwards towards the brighter light of the Source. Turning inwards to thoughts, to the past, we take on form, resistance, a “friction” which pulls us further away from the torrent of the Source and towards the darkness. “Heavy” thoughts and feelings carry us further away. “Light” ones let us rise closer.

The stream begins at the start of each new moment of the microgeny, in the nanoseconds outside of the Source. Life can be seen as our moment-to-moment position in this stream, moving between degrees of formless light and formed darkness as our focus of attention changes. Attachment to past experience causes us to close and be pulled down and away from the light.

Further up the stream, consciousness moves towards a brilliant formless molten reality, greater energy, more general concepts, higher and broader truths. Further away the energy has diminished. Forms have cooled and are relatively unchanging. There is more fragmentation, separation, ignorance and darkness.

Attachment in the Stream of Life

The problem with clinging to experience is that the flow only exists in the now. Once the experience has finished, it only exists in memory, and there the Pure Essence begins to fade from it. We’re left with the memory of the Pure Essence, not the present experience of it. If we cling to the experience, it soon begins to distract us from the newer forms through which the Pure Essence is now appearing. Now we are focused on the past, out of the flow. Our attachment will prevent us from experiencing new good things.

The solution to this is that once you have an excellent experience, release the form of it, and find it again in whatever form next crosses your path. You get energy by releasing. You live by letting go. Trust allows us to relax into the stream. We release to the change by trusting.

Fear causes us to cling, to hold on. As soon as we step out of the stream, we begin cooling, hardening. We stop changing. Without the new, we jump from attachment to attachment, remembering the light (Pure Essence) that was once there, but in each we find only the fading echo of the light. The light of the now becomes a situation we only experienced in the past.

The Flow Through Higher Selves

It is the rule of nature for everything that the higher always flows into the lower. . . . For the higher never receives from the lower; it is always the other way around. (Eckhart 103)Bwisdom • modern, Christian • Eckhart

In every moment of the microgeny, higher frequency realities precede the creation of the lower, which is created from it.

The basic primary creative force is initiated in the highest spiritual body and is then moved into the astral body. Or, from another point of view, one might say that the finer substances and energies in the spiritual bodies induce harmonic resonance in the lower three bodies. This process continues all the way down into the frequency level of the physical body. . . . As it moves into the lower frequency layers, it will be first expressed in terms of thoughts, then specific feelings, then physical sensation, and the physical body will respond automatically through the autonomic nervous system. It will either relax if it reads a positive impulse or will contract if it receives a negative one. (Brennan 139)HoLclairvoyant • modern • Brennan

The Higher Self, the Spirit of God in man, reaches . . . out from the center of man’s being in Divine Consciousness into the soul consciousness, and thence outward into the mortal mind. (Benner 56)WOchanneled • New Thought • Benner

Energy is the basis of the universe.

Ideas are mental transformations of energy by an entity NOTE: reincarnating self into physical reality. . . .

The subconscious is the threshold of an idea’s emergence into the individual conscious mind. It connects the entity and the individual. . . .

Emotions are the driving force that propel ideas into constructions. (Roberts 44)

Each evolutionary change is preceded and caused by a new idea. (Roberts 46)SD&Pchanneled • modern • Seth

The Flow as Love

What is flowing from the Source? In human terms, it’s love, light, energy, and wisdom.

At its most essential, the flow is experienced as love. It is the energy of consciousness, given unceasingly and unconditionally to all.

We open to this love as we open to the world around us, through acceptance and awareness in the now.

Our Chief asked the lady what she considered the greatest attribute of God. Without a moment’s hesitation she answered, “Love. . . .

“Love is ever seeking an inlet whereby it may flow forth into the soul of man and pour itself out as all good to him. . . . God’s eternal, changeless current of love flows ever onward, carrying before it, into the great universal sea of forgetfulness, every appearance of inharmony or ugliness which disturbs the peace of man. . . . [Love] is the very pulse of the world, the heartbeat of the universe.” (Spalding 118-119)MotFE1wisdom • Spalding

All experience in heaven attests that the Divine that goes forth from the Lord and that affects angels and makes heaven is love; for all who are in heaven are forms of love and charity, and appear in ineffable beauty, with love shining forth from their faces, and from their speech and from every particular of their life. (Swedenborg 17)H&HOBEr • Christianity • Swedenborg

The Flow as Life, Order, Perpetual Motion

The eternal flow from the Source reaches us as perpetual motion, rocking back and forth. Biological rhythms are powered by and follow this foundational rhythm. In this way it powers life. And that never-ending signal brings order, knowledge, connection.

Every creature is endowed with a continuous inner movement of ascent that allows it to return to its sacred Source or Origin. . . .

God has created the angelic souls of human beings from His Breath or Spirit, and this creation is continuous and ongoing. (Elahi 3)

God creates the angelic souls like the sun sending out its rays of light. (Elahi 29)

The movement of perfection extends continuously from the very lowest being up to the highest. It is the result of an influx, an invisible vital force or essence that dwells in every existing thing and gives life to all visible beings. . . . Each thing, from the most minute simple particle of the material world to the most perfect composition possesses an influx, a vital, life-giving force that follows its own course of gradual perfection by means of the continual transformation of matter. . . .

This inner movement is directed towards God by its very nature. . . .

If, for example, this force does not exist in a particular seed, it is dead. (Elahi 10-11)PoPwisdom • Iranian • Elahi

This flow causes a continuous inner movement. It continuously creates reality, animates living things, and draws creation back towards itself by transforming and perfecting it through its innate ability to draw things into order.

During a profound psychedelic experience I call the “Ecstasy Trance”, I experienced this movement, calling it “potential rocking” (see below).

Life itself is a rhythm. It is a wave, a vibration, a pulsation at the very heart of All That Is. (Walsch 32)CWG1channeled • modern • Walsch

Life grows by pouring itself out through form, fed by the inexhaustible source of life at the heart of the universe. (Besant 139)SLwisdom • Theosophy • Besant

Atun-Re: “The spirit is continuously flowing, like a river, animating the physical body, constantly drawing in the higher ideals.” (Ryerson and Harolde 225)SCchanneled • modern • Ryerson & Harolde

I wish the students to understand that the Stream of Life flowing through the mind and body always comes into them pure and unadulterated, containing within It all the strength, courage, energy and wisdom that can ever be desired. (King 211)IADchanneled • Theosophy • Germain

The method in which spirit enfolds itself in its descent into matter must be realized. We are . . . now dealing with . . . the descent of a new wave of evolution into matter already existing. (Leadbeater 115)DPclairvoyant • Theosophy • Leadbeater

This evolution is the knowledge and order that comes with the flow.

The Flow as Knowledge

See “How the Source Speaks To Us” below.

Impersonality of the Flow

Life, in all Its Activities everywhere manifest, is God in Action. . . .

Life cares not who uses It, but is constantly surging to pour more of Its Perfection into manifestation, always with that lifting process which is ever inherent within Itself. (King 2)IADchanneled • Theosophy • Germain

We should think of God as the great Spirit whose sole impulse is love, freely giving of Himself to all who ask and refusing none. (Holmes 6-7)CMSwisdom • New Thought • Holmes

To clear some misconceptions:

There is nothing personal about the activity of God in the sense that God would do any more for me than He would do for you. (Goldsmith 11)

Since God does not function on a personal basis, God will not do anything for you personally. (Goldsmith 44)

God makes no distinction between the good and the bad. God’s abundance is never withheld from anyone, regardless of his sins, nor is it ever given to anyone because of his virtue. (Goldsmith 110)BWTwisdom • modern • Goldsmith

We direct the flow into us through our attention. see “How We Direct the Flow” below for more.

The Flow from Formless to Form

This is absolutely CENTRAL to everything.

In each moment of the microgeny, at every moment of consciousness, the Source streams out from formless to form. Raw formless energy, the essence of what we are, rushes out into (and becomes) the forms in our mind, over and over, nanosecond by nanosecond. In each tiny pulse, it moves from infinite, undifferentiated energy into the separate forms we know. At each tiny point along this near-instantaneous transformation, it takes form a little bit more, a little bit more, until it reaches its final form. It moves from 100% generalized energy to 100% specific form.

The Effect on the Aura

The effects of our thoughts and emotions on the flow into us causes an ever-changing array of colors, shapes, and forms to appear in the aura — our own personal energy field.

The Ecstasy Trance
Psilocybin

During winter term in college, I experienced a particularly powerful psilocybin trip, in which I opened up completely to the flow and experienced the most powerful thing I’ve ever felt. I called it the “Ecstasy Trance”.

January 24, 1996

We take mushrooms, then go to the Arb. It’s getting very intense, and we come back to the house, to my girlfriend’s room.

Communication begins to get strange, causing bursts of laughter. I want to just relax and feel what is going on. Though this is already more intense than anything I had yet felt, the shrooms were about to kick into high gear. This laughing, this dis-rhythmic communication — it’s getting difficult to handle the surge of energy. It feels as though people’s spaces are crossing into other people’s spaces. Unable to handle the weirdness, I retreat into myself and began to write. Thankfully, this helps me focus myself.

And now the meltdown begins. There is such energy building up inside me that it feels like the center of me is going to explode. My core is heating up, getting faster and faster, my mental structures turning to liquid. There’s so much energy, it’s melting my every rational structure and thought — and it’s happening so quickly! It’s melting all the thoughts and pieces of me, like trees cut loose in a lava flow. I feel a growing modulation, a rocking inside my mind, my soul, to the left, to the right, to the left, to the right. As my structure melts, more and more of my energy is freed up to this internal rocking motion. It grows overwhelming. It enters my mind that I am experiencing a “potential rocking”. At the end of each right-left movement, I feel the energy coming to a resting point, and as it does, a gravitational pull towards the other side begins, as effortless as falling, a motion whose every cycle brings more and more energy with it. The power, the energy is throwing bits of me away, as if I’m shedding old skins, conceptions, releasing fully in every new moment. I keep shedding my skin, releasing who I am, keeping nothing, holding onto nothing, release, release, release, release. It is always completely new. Constant release is the only way of staying in the stream. As soon as I have a thought, it’s old skin and it’s shed immediately. No more thinking. All thinking is looking into the past. Turn around to the ever new. I am being born again, remade every moment. I am constantly recreated in this trance. Old wounds no longer exist. This is an endless becoming.

The potential rocking rocks my body left and right with its motion. I find that I can ride this wave of motion, and it’s stronger than any impulse I’ve ever had. The simple urge to stand up causes me to leap to my feet. My body follows my will immediately and with incredible energy. I leap across the room onto the couch, then a chair, the floor, the bed. No problem. No effort. But better than all that is what comes next. I’m sitting on the bed, the motion moving me to and fro. I find myself rolling my head as I release layer upon layer of myself. My arms move, and my whole body rolls with it. I am tracing a fractal pattern of my body — yes, I see that it is a neural fractal — and the energy flows into each part of my body that I focus on in the most natural, smooth, strong way I have ever felt. It is a continual release of body stress as I roll the energy through different parts of my body, riding the power of the potential rocking, the Ecstasy Trance in full bloom. At times the whole of the motion would move into a single hand and my body would lay limply while my hand flexed and turned and rolled in every way possible, with the fluidity of a dancer, with the rhythm of a musician, and then the motion would pull out of my hand and take the whole upper body as its instrument, turning me and whirling me, then moving to my head and shoulders. It seemed at times that the motion was the same as nuzzling, snuggling, these instinctual urges playing themselves out in the natural course of the energy. This is the effortless source of all dance, an expression of pure life force, of the Pure Essence, a release to the power of this eternal motion.

And throughout all this, in my head there is a tunnel. It leads straight upward to eternity, like a row of mirrors. Straight above me is infinity, the stream of life, a white-hot fire of pure energy and potential. I am touching myself across time. The closer I ride towards infinity (direct, full, complete self-perception and self-release), the more energy I have. Self-perception brings the energy. But the slightest veering off to the side and I move into a possibility. I learn this as my mind hooks on a thought and I am pulled off to the side, where I land in a room similar to my own, and there I am, standing there, wondering what’s going on, watching the world turn grey and get harder. I feel the memory of the stream of life fading, and so I instinctively let go of this scene, and it feels like stepping off a cliff. I release the scene, release who I am, and am swept up in the stream once again, releasing, being reborn, being reborn, then reborn again.

I stop for a moment to write down my experiences. The marks of the pen seem both on the other side of an aquarium and in perfect focus, but wait- it’s shifting! As the potential rocks to the left it turns black and white and the edges solidify with great detail. Then it rocks to the right and it moves into a variety of shades of color, every color, and the edges are less clear and harder to make out. In the course of the continual shifting, I see every style of art, of clothing, of design, throughout the last 50 years and before, clearly, as if it was all based exclusively on a societal right-left brain flux, a potential rocking. They have been shifting more powerfully in recent times, the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s. It is all so perfectly clear. At any time in history the current style is either very left or very right-brained and moving through a repeating pattern. One could very easily predict what style was coming next. It’s a frequency modulation. Now I close my eyes and visions come, and those visions are affected by the potential rocking as well.

In the full ecstasy of the trance, I turn to my girlfriend, look deep into her eyes, and ask the only question that makes sense to me at that point, the one that sums up everything. I ask her, “Do you know?”, and I mean it with my entire soul.

After hours in the Ecstasy Trance, I wonder how easy it is to come out of it. I slow the potential rocking by focusing in the middle of my head, and the rocking slowly becomes less and less extreme in its movements. I try to form a thought. No good. It’s washed away in eternity. I stand up and take a normal breath. I think “Okay, here I am. Let’s call this over. What should I do?” And then a horror upon horrors comes over me. Try as I might, I can’t remember who I am. I can’t remember a single thing that motivated me. The Ecstasy Trance had in its incredible power washed away all my everyday motivations, which were reduced to nothing in comparison to it. Can I ever get back? Will I be forced into a mental home? I certainly can’t pretend that things like school and computers and money mattered — or had any meaning at all, now that I had been awash in the the most powerful force of life I could ever have imagined! I take my girlfriend into my confidence and she calms me, soothes me, tells me everything will be okay. She brings me hot tea, holds me, and before long the celestial light of the trance fades enough to see myself again, and the everyday things that motivate me.

The experience changed me forever. I had discovered the most powerful force in the universe, the infinite energy flow. It had poured through me, taking me to its heart, showing me everything I had ever wanted to know, and left me gasping on the shores of physical reality.

The Nature of the Flow

Potential rocking is the result of the Source flowing into us. It is a self-generating engine, the infinite self-perceiving river, the calculation engine. This is what all our searching is about. This is the genesis, the beginning. It is the source of dance, of inspired art, of all knowing. It’s a self-calling equation. It is a spacetime energy flux, a gravitational bending. We are staring into infinity.

This is WORLD CHANGING. Of this I have NO DOUBT AT ALL.

During the Ecstasy Trance, I was the closest I’ve ever been to the now. I sat continuously in the ever-changing now, the moment point, the source of all reality. To reach it, we must leave ourselves completely behind, we must forget that we ever were anything else. Only the innermost core of our being can reach it. We rest in it by becoming it completely.

Releasing into the Now

To stay in the flow, we must constantly let go.

Copied from “The Ecstasy Trance” above:

The power, the energy is throwing bits of me away, as if I’m shedding old skins, conceptions, releasing fully in every new moment. I keep shedding my skin, releasing who I am, keeping nothing, holding onto nothing, release, release, release, release. It is always completely new. Constant release is the only way of staying in the stream. As soon as I have a thought, it’s old skin and it’s shed immediately. No more thinking. All thinking is looking into the past. Turn around to the ever new. I am being born again, remade every moment.

This = feeling layer after layer as you fall, free-fall into the moment.

This is key. The Source flows into the now. Releasing to it opens us to the endless flow. The waves of moments break over us, faster and faster, as we open to feeling and experience. Each release of the past opens us to more of the now.

Constantly barreling into now vs. caught in the tide of receding thoughts (past experiences).

The now is the most powerful thing, but it is always changing. In order to remain in it, we have to release who we were the second before. Release, release, release, release. The simple act of releasing again and again lets us fall closer into the moment, giving us incredible energy.

As soon as our attention sticks to an experience (due to attachment), it takes us out of the now, as it is caught in the tide of receding time moving away from the now, losing energy. Imagine the flow as a waterfall and our experiences as objects forming in the foam at the bottom. If we especially like one of these experiences, we may grab onto it and ride it further and further downstream as it moves away from the power of the waterfall. The waterfall supplies our energy and attachment has swept us far from it.

Dorothy Maclean communes with the higher consciousness of things, who told her:

You cannot bring weights into our world, you cannot come to us unless you are free, childlike and light. (Maclean 112)THASchanneled • modern • Maclean

See “Distance From The Now” below.

Higher Frequencies of Consciousness

Higher frequencies of consciousness are closer to the now, further up the stream of the microgeny. Our frequency is our position in the flow.

Higher consciousness is the perception of a higher order—that is, one that is simpler and more inclusive—a deeper order. (Judith 370)WoLiresearcher • modern • Judith

All is logical and all comes from foundational truths. These truths are the impetus of the signal upon the brain. Follow these logical truths and they shed light on all your experiences.

The Subconscious, the Higher Self

The idea of the subconscious is an ever-growing central idea in my understanding. It’s the state from which ideas, thoughts, and observations come when I’m high. I can access knowledge perceived by that higher frequency consciousness.

We are born with no limits on our consciousness. We are gradually conditioned by the physical body’s needs and gradually tune into the physical body’s frequency of perception. Our new physically-oriented consciousness slowly narrows its focus over time to keeping those needs fulfilled. By age 7 that physically-oriented self has largely forgotten that there are levels of consciousness beyond its own.

This physically-oriented consciousness is at a slow frequency relative to our consciousness in higher frequency domains. It sees relatively little of our experience. Much of our experience is filtered out and ignored because it isn’t seen as important to what we’re looking for. But we have full awareness of it on a subconscious level.

On those deeper levels, we’re aware of much more. Subconscious information and experience lies beyond the frequency of the physical consciousness and contains information that doesn’t come from our physical senses. In Seth’s terms, this is an “unofficial source” of information which is usually ignored or denied.

We can and do perceive at faster frequencies at times. The higher our frequency of consciousness, the more we become consciously aware of what was previously subconscious. Our higher rate of perception means we perceive more information.

The subconscious is the threshold of an idea’s emergence into the individual conscious mind. It connects the entity NOTE: The reincarnating self and the individual. (Roberts 44)

There is usually no contact between the entity and the ordinary conscious ego NOTE: physically-oriented self. (Roberts 212)SD&Pchanneled • modern • Seth

You can imagine [the subconscious] as a meeting place, so to speak, between the inner and outer egos. You must understand that there are no real divisions to the self, however. (Roberts 10)SSchanneled • modern • Seth

What is commonly known as the sub-conscious mind is really the consciousness of the soul NOTE: the reincarnating self. . . .

The soul dwells deep within the mind, or deep beneath the surface of the conscious mind. (Benner 176-177)WttKchanneled • New Thought • Benner

The subconscious mind forgets nothing. The conscious mind receives the impression from without and transfers all thought to the subconscious, where it remains. . . . The subconscious mind of Edgar Cayce is in direct communication with all other subconscious minds. (Lynn and Cayce 92)NDchanneled • modern • Lynn & Cayce

My entire life has this subtext, this knowledge of certain truths that it is built upon, memories from when I was created, universe-spanning truths, knowledge of what is to come. This subtext is bigger than anything physical life even comes close to, and everyday experience is built upon it. We all have these pictures, stories of knowledge, of the things we know to be inherently true. They are always with us, awaiting inspiration to temporarily reveal them again. Then they shine for a moment in the full light of attention before slowly fading again into the background, where they always remain.

The Higher Self in the Now

The now is the gateway to our higher selves that reside outside the physical universe.

As attention focuses more and more completely in the now, our frequency of consciousness increases, and we expand by degrees into our higher selves, where we have access to far more knowledge.

Rising out of a moment through attention, turning perpendicular. 5D. spacetime reality

As our attention increases in the moment, our frequency increases and we begin to merge with the perspective of our higher self who sees all. We move into the deep context of the moment. This is equivalent to rising out of the physical perspective into the dimensions of consciousness outside physical reality. It happens when the increased speed of consciousness allows us to perceive between two moments of physical time. From here we can gain great insight from our higher self that exists outside the limitations of physical time and space.

Conversely, when we move back into physical time, our frequency of consciousness slows down, and that connection becomes more distant.

Higher Frequencies Bridge the Gaps

The Dalai Lama: There are different levels of consciousness. What we call innermost subtle consciousness is always there. The continuity of that consciousness is almost like something permanent. (Rinpoche 90)TBoLDwisdom • Tibetan • Rinpoche

Some individuals find themselves with memories of other lives, which are other days to the soul. Such persons then become aware of a greater consciousness reaching over those gaps. (Roberts 305)UR2channeled • modern • Seth

The reincarnating self is the “greater consciousness reaching over those gaps”, the higher (frequency) self who knows all, who observes our experiences from a perspective with much greater context. It is infinitely wiser.

Distance from the Now

The now is ever-present and ever-changing. It’s where the flow begins. It’s the single point of reality from which all else springs.

Distance and Time

When you look up, you see the stars—as they were hundreds, thousands, millions of light-years ago. What you are seeing it not actually there. You are seeing what was there. You are seeing the past. And it is a past in which you participated. . . .

You were there, experiencing those things, doing those things. . . .

There is only One of us. So when you look up at the stars you are seeing what you would call OUR PAST. . . .

It is impossible to see The Present. The Present “happens,” then turns into a burst of light, formed by energy dispersing, and that light reaches your receptors, your eyes, and it takes time for it to do that.

All the while that light is reaching you, life is going on, moving forward. The next event is happening while the light from the last event is reaching you. . . .

The more distance you place between your Self and the physical location of any event, the further into the “past” that event recedes. Place yourself a few light-years back, and what you are looking at happened very, very long ago, indeed.

Yet it did not happen “long ago.” It is merely physical distance which has created the illusion of “time”. (Walsch 358-360)CWG3channeled • modern • Walsch

This is very much related to my psychedelic experiences of being closer and closer to the now.

All the events you could possibly imagine—indeed, have imagined—are taking place right now, in the Eternal Moment. . . . This is the Moment that precedes your awareness. It is what is happening before the Light gets to you. (Walsch 342)CWG3channeled • modern • Walsch

The Source begins each smallest moment as everything everywhere before making its way to the time and place where you are experiencing this particular moment. Pure potential in its most general form reaches out into one particular time and place, becoming it.

Frequency of Consciousness

Attention increases our frequency by increasing psychological time.

This is the manner by which we connect with or “become” something through increased attention:

We are the infinite, unchanging Source flowing out into more and more dense dimensions of existence. At the heart of us the frequency is infinite. It slows in each frequency domain until it reaches the physically-oriented frequency of consciousness.

Let’s imagine we’re communicating with someone. As our attention speeds us from 40 MHz to 60 MHz, we reach an higher, more attuned level of communion with that person. We communicate at a more subtle level — a deeper, truer level. Our higher self is now communicating with theirs.

It rides the waves inward. It reaches the rate at which it is stable.
800 MHz attention reaches THIS far, and the connection is THAT deep.

As our frequency increases, we come closer to the Source in us, and perceive and communicate with others closer to the Source in them. We’re moving higher up the stream of reality. We can see and communicate at higher and higher levels until we, as the Source, are reaching out and touching ourselves — the Source in another. At this point we experience ourselves as one and are joined with all life.

This is how communication at higher frequencies works. Our frequency determines our position in the planes of consciousness. As ever with frequencies of consciousness, we’re riding up the stream of creation, the flow from the Source.

Differing Frequencies

Imagine a spiritual master vibrating at a high frequency of consciousness appearing before a group vibrating at a lower frequency. The master is far closer to the now, closer to the Source, and so she is happening far more frequently than the group, and thus will appear much brighter, more clear, and more real to them. She is also happening sooner in the microgeny than the group. She will be in a position to lead them, moving before them, guiding them, answering questions before they are even asked. She will be able to speak directly to their higher selves — the part of each person in the group operating at the same frequency as she is.

Frequency Domains as Positions in the Stream

This is by far the best understanding of the domains of consciousness!

The astral is the future. It precedes every physical moment. Physical perception is, relatively, in the past.

The astral realm being a higher frequency, this can be perceived as “the future” relative to lower frequencies such as the physical, which happens later. Now it’s only the tiniest fraction of an instant into the future (and it remains there), but that makes all the difference. It’s a little bit further up the stream towards the Source — closer to the ACTUAL NOW. Further up the stream is closer to the “microgenic” origin, further towards formlessness.

The Ecstasy Trance is the closest I ever got to the NOW, and it took constant releasing of myself.

Every tiny step you take closer to the now, you are dealing more with causes than effects. Reality flows out of the infinite potential of the now into the higher more shapeless and fluid realms, then into progressively denser realms: the mental, then the astral, then the physical. Each one is a cause, a precursor to the the slower, more dense frequency domain that comes after it.

Our perceptions can ride closer to the source, into the generalized energy where things are more fluid — this is perception of the astral, mental, and higher realms.

Size, Frequency, and Frequency Domains (new)

The concept of tunneling is described later on. Essentially, tunneling forward is equivalent to increasing our frequency of consciousness.

Tunneling forward, we travel into the light of a bigger reality.

This is literally true. Our consciousness becomes smaller and smaller as we tunnel forward, until it can slip through the veil into the astral frequency domain. If we’re too big, we can’t fit through the openings.

[tunneling forward] Wants to travel into the light of a bigger reality.
Darker here [current position] than here [tunneling forward].

Consciousness becomes smaller as it increases in frequency, eventually becoming small enough to slip through the veil into the astral frequency domain outside the physical universe. As consciousness becomes smaller, we are moving up the stream towards the microgeny, into the microscales from which the physical originates.

Consider the tunnel at death. It’s a tunnel but we’re not actually moving physically — rather we’re increasing our frequency of consciousness. The astral light from that domain is visible at the end, and we approach it in frequency, without moving, until we “pierce the veil” and enter a higher frequency domain.

See “The Tunnel” in ndes.php.

Physics: Wavelength and Frequency

This is a direct correlation to electromagnetic wavelength (size) and frequency. Visible light (0.5-10-6 m) can be seen by us because it reflects off physical objects. But x-rays have a much smaller wavelength (10-10 m) and can penetrate further, moving through flesh but bouncing off bone. Gamma rays are even smaller (10-12 m) and can move through most physical matter.

The electromagnetic spectrum

Because the speed of light in the physical universe is a constant, smaller wavelengths equate to higher frequencies. Interestingly, we also see that higher-temperature objects emit higher frequency, lower wavelength energy. What have we seen from those coming closer to the light? Frequency increases along with ambient “heat”. A perfect fit.

Faster Nonphysical Perception

The ego NOTE: the reincarnating self, when out of the body, is able to perceive with absolute instantaniety without the use of the nerves, and consequently is aware of what happens just that minute fraction of a second before the information reaches his physical brain. (Leadbeater 37)Dclairvoyant • Theosophy • Leadbeater

This applies to all nonphysical perception. The higher the frequency domain, the faster the speed of light, and the more direct our perception is — the closer it is to the now.

In the physical, if we’re open at the astral level, then in any given moment, we’re perceiving through astral vibration feeling first and then through our physical senses a fraction of a moment later. The more primary astral sense is more direct and real, and the physical can be accurately understood as a sensory translation built upon it, just as the lightning precedes and causes the thunder that follows it.

The Expansion of Memory

As our consciousness descends in frequency from our origin into the more constrictive and outward physical universe, we enter into new frequency domains where we have no experience yet. Frequency domains define a distance from the now, and they also define a span of allowed memory. As we enter each slower plane, our length of memory begins at the previous limit, then slowly expands as we gain experience.

In OBEs, Tito Monroe became aware of his first “home” in the higher frequency domains of the physical universe. It was a thrilling, beautiful, colorful, musical experience that endlessly repeats. It is a happy loop that goes on forever, eternally new as the past slips away from his memory. While his span of memory is anything less than the length of the loop, this rainbow experience is endlessly fulfilling. But as the span of his memory grows, the repetition of the loop becomes apparent. It grows dull as he begins to see it through the filter of his past experience.

So he leaves this place, seeking something new with more variation and unpredictability. In the human experience, we have what we experience today — the long trail of memory.

The closer we are to the Source, the shorter our span of memory, our context. The two are the same — we cannot be fully 100% in the now without completely letting go of all the memories that make us who we think we are.

We have to move beyond our memory (our context) to approach the now. The now is pure experience. We can think of it as a spectrum. At one end is all experience and no context — being fully in the now. At the other end is all context and no experience — being closed, looking backwards at past experience.

To see what life is like without the context of memory, see “Deep Attention” in pure-essence.php.

Perceiving Higher Frequencies

I perceive at higher levels by feelings, knowings. They’re up the stream from images.

Behind my closed eyes, gazing at my visual field, I perceive overlapping explosions all over like pop rocks. These are not seen, but felt, then imagined into form. The feeling, the knowing, is higher up the stream, more generalized, closer to the origin of the undifferentiated signal, as it moves from infinite possibilities and perspectives, into feelings and finally into forms.

Feeling/knowing is perception at the mental level, above the astral/dream level. It’s perception of a reality higher up the stream. But without the beautiful variety of expression available in the astral and physical.

Connections Further up the Stream

We perceive higher up the stream when our consciousness attains a higher frequency.

As our energy and attention increases, we see deeper towards the formless energetic origin of things. The forms we see are all generalized somewhat to a point where we see commonalities, sameness between things — and their sameness with us. We live in deeper meaning as we see more of this connected originating energy behind forms.

When we look into the eyes of another, accepting them completely, seeing them as perfect, faults and all, this brings forth the essence. As we do this, we see them bathed in a soft light. We see their probable reality field shining out. It’s like seeing a specific person under multiple exposures. We are seeing their similarity to all the other people we’ve known. They become all people. They feel connected to everyone we’ve known. Our energy flows into our experience and we begin to feel a wonderful flow and connection.

We are seeing them further up the stream towards the Source, more generalized and formless.

Seeing god in a thing is seeing more of it and its probable reality field. Shining out and light like multiple exposures.
See a moment of beauty, communicate with god, see it perfectly. All the same.
It’s perfect because it’s a vessel for communication with god.

We perceive the Pure Essence when we open ourselves up. We are allowing love to flow into our experience. We are the source of the Pure Essence in our experience.

When I don’t see essence, it’s because my inner sight is closed. I’m distracted with other things. I see light reflecting off the exterior of things, not radiating from within them.

Further up the stream of creation, towards the formless, the generalization of your experience into its emotional truth connects you with all other forms that emotional truth takes.

At night, I lay by my girlfriend, feeling how much she means to me. Her skin is glowing a purplish/bluish hue, as if lit by moonlight. The shadows are flashing.

While feeling deeply connected with Buttercup, I saw the glow field again. It’s the Pure Essence, the meaning in everything. When I see Buttercup in the glow, she is everyone. Her face is a face of perfect love. Details fade and I recognize in her the love I had for every person I have loved. Our love connects with every other love. We are Arabian lovers in a plush temple, with dark skin and exotic eyes. We are newly-met lovers at a college party. We are Zeus and Aphrodite, Romeo and Juliet, as easily as Buttercup & Benji. The Pure Essence connects us to everything and everyone. We can never be lonely in it. It is what makes fantasy real and vivid and fantastic and beautiful and inspiring.

A thousand versions of my girlfriend! So many versions, so many people shining out of her at once! My girlfriend across all possible realities. I see her and her many sources.

Everything’s working through metaphor. Pictures and visions, to illustrate what I mean, long before it reaches the level of words, and 100 times better than words.

I’m seeing truth through metaphor further up the stream from words. At levels closer to the Source like this, images and experiences communicate far faster and more universally.

Since the implicate order NOTE: outside the physical universe is not local, similar forms resonate and are connected regardless of their location in space and time. . . . All similar forms influence each other in the implicate order. (Friedman 87-88)BS&Sresearcher • modern • Friedman

This reveals a truth — with time and space removed from the equation, similarity becomes the new center of organization.

Even Further

Even further up the stream. . . .

Snuggly, warm, cold, wet, dry. Milky. All the same experience: humps!

All sensations melt into each other. They are all humps — neural signals. I’ve abstracted all sensations into signals and seen in that way they are all the same.

As we approach closer to the now, structure begins to vibrate and melt down into a sea of light. It’s the light of unformed pure potential before you, the light of the now.

Seeing Projections — Commonalities in Faces

Typically our projections (recognition, expectations, Specific Search) are not strong enough for our physically oriented consciousness to see visually. But marijuana frees up our attention, which allows us to move into higher frequencies. The dream state is a similar state of mind, wherein we see our projections, but there is no physical perception to disagree with them. In both cases, our consciousness has increased in frequency, and we are seeing further up the stream where our projections are visible.

For example, in this state while in the physical, we can focus on one part of a face and let the rest slip and change to match other faces with that similar part through the projections of recognition (or imagination). Then we can hold onto the new part of the face and let the original part slip and change, and so on. We can focus in on certain features so keenly that others are allowed to be overcome with projections. In this way, it is easy to look at the face of a familiar friend and allow it to become the face of any number of people, familiar or unfamiliar.

At this frequency of consciousness, it’s easy to misrecognize people I don’t know:

I was looking through old books and momentarily misrecognizing some of the faces. I saw the face of a friend’s Wadsworth, Abraham Lincoln, and my own Wadsworth in other faces. I was seeing projections based on the commonalities between the faces of people in the books and those I know. I wondered if they shared a similar genetic pattern.

My past experience is projecting out the closest match onto the image and I’m seeing that briefly instead of the actual image on the page.

In this state, it’s even easier see our own projections when we strongly expect or strongly desire to see something, because emotions intensify the projection.

Misrecognize due to a strong desire to see something.

In the picture above, the circled part of the face is a similarity between the face I’m expecting and the actual face I saw. The rest doesn’t match, and appears with conflicting lines. This is exactly how holographic pattern-matching works. When we look for someone, we project their face outwards, and on marijuana (or in the dream state) we can see that projection.

Translating Perceptions into New Forms

I can translate my girlfriend’s face into different races by focusing further up the stream to see her face generalized, then back downstream in a different direction. If I go all the way back to random, formless energy, she can appear to me as anything.

There is a pulse from formless undifferentiated energy to form in every smallest instant. Everything we see is focused out of that unformed static — the base energy we use to form our visual impressions. We can move our attention away from form upstream towards that static and then reform it as it comes into focus. This is what I was doing when changing my girlfriend’s appearance.

We Know Everything at Higher Frequencies

First, WE. KNOW. EVERYTHING. There are levels of ourselves, frequencies at which we know everything. With complete depth, context, and insight. The higher frequency reveals all.

The higher your conscious frequency is, the more deeply and clearly we see. We see with the benefit of more frames, more context.

Our perception isn’t limited by the frequency of our physical consciousness. At higher rates of perception (recorded, but not consciously aware of), we know what we hide from our conscious self. We know what others feel, think of us, what we deny — EVERYTHING. The total truth about ourselves and our lives. At those depths, wild emotion gives way to understanding.

All knowing, all seeing, 1/5 frames, 1/50 frames of reality.

As our rate of consciousness drops to 1/5, 1/50, we become more disconnected, more mired in the drama of emotions, afraid of what we’ll find if we look deeper.

Your soul knows everything—past, present, and future. It knows Who You Are, and Who You Seek to Be. It knows Me NOTE: the Source, intimately, because it is the part of Me that is closest to you. (Walsch 75)FWGchanneled • modern • Walsch

Those that are in heaven have more exquisite senses, that is, a keener sight and hearing, and also think more wisely than when they were in the world; for they see in the light of heaven, which surpasses by many degrees the light of the world. . . . The light of heaven, since it is Divine truth, enables the eyes of angels to perceive and distinguish most minute things. (Swedenborg 355)H&HOBEr • Christianity • Swedenborg

This describes our perception at higher frequency consciousness. At these levels our higher self uses our perception as metaphors for truth.

Secondary learning, another pattern which is present throughout human existence, takes place beyond what we call our level of consciousness. This is data received through our five physical senses in those areas where attention is not focused. This takes place during waking physical life and is stored and retained in the most minute detail. Due to the lack of attention, less than 20 percent of such secondary learning is ordinarily available for recall by the human conscious mind. Still, this entire spectrum of memory is called upon unknowingly by the individual as the need arises. It colors and affects our thoughts, decisions, and actions, and we are quite unaware of it NOTE: it is subconscious.

A third form of learning occurs during our cyclic nonconscious state (sleep). At our waking conscious level, we remember very little of such activity although it becomes deeply embedded in and becomes a part of the memory-experience system upon which we base our life activity. (Monroe 250)FJOBEr • modern • Monroe

Our physically-oriented consciousness exists at a certain level of our attention. In the physical, our conscious awareness of something requires, say, at least 20% attention on it. At that point, we consciously know something and can make decisions based on it. Full becoming happens somewhere closer to 100% of attention.

Knowing at Higher Frequencies

Way out here in the physical, everything is so incredibly specific! Any given situation has its own time, date, place, surroundings. Things are more general at higher frequencies. Instead of individual situations, we perceive truths and patterns, then wider and more far-reaching truths and patterns.

Physics: Brainwaves and Frequency

The Smallest Perceivable Moment

There have been many studies examining the smallest amount of time that humans can perceive, with varying results depending on the stimulus and the individual, but it appears to be in the range of 1-5 milliseconds (ms). Hertz (Hz) is a measure of events per second, meaning we are able to perceive 200-1000 Hz. But our brainwave states typically have much slower frequencies.

Brainwave Frequency

Our brainwave frequencies are divided into several ranges. Gamma (heightened perception) is 30-140 Hz, Beta (awake) is 15-30 Hz, Alpha (relaxed) is 8-12 Hz, Theta (deeply relaxed) is 4-7 Hz, and Delta (deep, dreamless sleep) is 0.5-3 Hz.

Studies in the early 1990s by Rodolfo Llinás suggest that Gamma waves in the 40 Hz range are the mechanism for conscious attention. These waves originate in the thalamus and sweep from front to back of the brain, drawing different neuronal circuits into sync which is what binds all of our impressions into a single experience. Damage to the thalamus prevents this wave and conscious awareness no longer happens. This theory is called the “thalamocortical dialogue hypothesis for consciousness.” [source]

If true, this tells us that consciousness at the physical level is a synthesis of all our sense impressions at a specific frequency in the Gamma range. Attention focused in the physical causes an increased brainwave rate, into the higher Gamma (heightened perception) ranges. The stronger the attention, the faster the frequency. It is literally a state of experiencing more moments of psychological time than in states of unfocus or relaxation.

40 Hz is equivalent to one event every 25 ms. The top end of gamma, 140 Hz, is one event every 7 ms. This is very near the range of the fastest human perception of time of 1-5 ms mentioned above. For simplicity, let’s call 5 ms one “moment”.

Our experiences come to us a moment at a time, as if each moment were a frame in a movie reel (see “Attention Moves By Phasing” in attention.php).

Higher Frequencies Are More Real

The refresh rate of TV and computer screens is typically 60Hz, fast enough that we don’t perceive any sort of flicker. Movies and TV shows are typically produced at 24Hz, producing what feels to me a certain hypnotic effect in the Beta range. When I saw The Hobbit at 48Hz (high frame rate), it was too real. I could clearly see that these were actors standing in front of a camera, with special effects that I could easily see through. The added detail made it more real in such a way that I couldn’t believe in the illusion.

How incredibly similar that sounds to the descriptions of higher frequency consciousness being more real, and revealing the illusory nature of the lower frequencies. Perception at a lower frequency creates a story that can be believed only if we don’t look too closely.

See “The Subconscious, The Higher Self” above for more on the higher frequency self.

Brainwave Amplitude — Attention

The amplitude of brainwaves represents the power of the wave. Typical amplitudes vary between 20 to 100 microvolts (μV). Brainwave amplitude is the strength of the signal and increases with more synchronized brain activity. Delta (deep, dreamless sleep) has the highest amplitude and thus highly synchronized waves. Beta (waking) has the lowest amplitude due to the brain’s activity being scattered by many things.

My experience is that as brainwaves slow, they have higher energy (amplitude). This checks out with the science, as progressively slower frequencies like Alpha and Theta and Delta have progressively higher amplitudes.

Amplitude changes with age. Studies show an increase in resting gamma power between ages 3 and 4, then a slight decline from ages 4 to 11 and onward into adulthood. Resting gamma relates to linguistic and attentional abilities.

This corresponds to an increasing focus on the physical at ages 3-4, and then the continuing fragmentation of our attention into conditions as we get older.

Research by neuroscientist Richard Davidson showed that Tibetan monks, adept in meditation, show more high-amplitude gamma-band activity at baseline, and that rate significant increased during meditation — in fact they were the highest recorded in any healthy human. Movement of the gamma waves through the brain was far better organized and coordinated than novices. [source]

Studies on THC (the “active ingredient” of Marijuana) show lower amplitudes in slower-frequency brainwave states such as Theta and Fast Alpha, and higher amplitudes in Gamma. [source]

The focused Deep Attention state of marijuana relates to the higher amplitudes in Gamma, the state of heightened perception. The higher amplitude there shows the increased attention available, like the monks who have trained to be focused without distraction.

frequency slows down as it gets bigger (slower between) = stronger gravity.

How We Direct the Flow

This is a strong section.

The flow comes into us unconditionally, to do with as we choose. We direct the flow through the focus of our attention. Through it, we direct its energy into the full experience of the now or into our past experience. When we project it into past experience, we use its power to charge up and intensify those thoughts and beliefs. Focused through us into the now, the flow projects light and life into the physical world around us, intensifying our experience and raising the frequency of our consciousness.

We can also let the flow direct us. By coming into the now, our focus moves higher up the stream, and our higher self with its far greater wisdom can direct our action. Then we act with this more selfless love, and make choices to benefit our greater humanity. Our potential actions can be very personal and unique to us and our talents. We may be able to benefit the whole in a way nobody else can.

What we develop in Earth life is a will that makes us more than just reactionary — instead, we choose our reaction. We are learning to choose love, even when afraid or feeling pain.

The attention is the channel by which God’s Mighty Energy, through thought and feeling, flows to its directed accomplishment. (King 97)IADchanneled • Theosophy • Germain

Our Focus Directs the Flow

In the broadest terms, our focus can direct the flow into the present (perception and/or action) or the past (thoughts).

We must supply the avenue through which [Creative Energy] can work. It is ready and willing. It is Its nature to spring into being through our thought and action. (Holmes 47)SoMwisdom • New Thought • Holmes

I find myself on occasion also possessed of a new emotion, or one so different in quality from others as to feel like an entirely original emotional sensation. It is a concentrated version of love, compassion, understanding, and creativity, directed on my part to each of my own thoughts as if they are the most precious seeds . . . beloved psychological infants springing from my creative mind NOTE: thought forms—that I free and send forth to grow and develop according to their nature. . . .

In some way it seems to me that each of us was somehow sent out in the same fashion, and that we repeat the process anew whether we are aware of it or not. I wonder, of course, if it is fruitful to compare this feeling about my thoughts and my good intent toward them—regardless of their nature—with the more persuasive atmospheric presence and its attitude toward the universe; and toward me specifically. (Roberts 169)

As if I can produce psychological seeds of inestimable value to the universe, and this knowing light nurtures them. (Roberts 169)AJoaAPchanneled • modern • James

James is perceiving that the light of attention is very much “love” that we direct towards certain thoughts and ideas.

And from this it is clear that we should refrain from putting our attention on negative things. They are nurtured as if they are loved, for our attention makes them grow.

It is only through lack of the understanding of applied thought and feeling that mankind is constantly interrupting the pure flow of that Perfect Essence of Life which would, without interference, naturally express Its Perfection everywhere. (King 2)IADchanneled • Theosophy • Germain

Harnessing the Flow to Satisfy Needs

Each moment begins perfect.

The flow is the slowing frequencies of the Source through the microgeny. In each tiniest moment, the energy appears perfect, infinite, unified, and slows down through frequency domains, losing energy, losing power. Remember, we are talking about nanoseconds away from the Source. Attention focused in the now is our direct access to it at the highest frequencies.

When looking through past impressions, desires, or fears, however, we are that much further away from it — further down the stream. Our attention is instead routing through something else before reaching the now and the experience of the outside world. The flow is harnessed by those desires, fears, and beliefs due to our focus on them. These needs ask “How can this moment fulfill me?” THIS IS KEY!

As seen in “The Holographic Mind”, these are filters which darken our experience so they can find what they need.

With a clear mind, our full attention shines out into our present scene, and it is seen as perfect and beautiful. We have pure arising thoughts which speak to us through this scene; universal wisdom that becomes individual truths. But the hunger which blocks this beautiful view sees only imperfection — “but there is no food here”.

We miss unending enlightenment because with each impulse, we choose something other than the light coming from within.

All creation is light, though obscured by human thought. (Maclean 208)THASchanneled • modern • Maclean

Details: This is the brain, the knowing at the highest frequency of consciousness
is the 100% mark, dropping down into our focal points.

We can know EVERYTHING at any given moment. But can we hold on to it?

Our mental state, intensified by our focus, determines how we apply that perfect knowing to ourselves personally, how it becomes relevant to us, how it is remembered. Think of our ongoing questions or problems as stored focuses that sit stationary and pull at this web of knowledge as it drifts down into slower frequencies. Thus the potential knowledge of everything only applies to what we’re interested in, what’s relevant to us. This is a constant process. It goes on as long as we’re in the right focus (as long as I’m high, in this case).

Our desires and fears are what so often hijacks this flow. Then that knowledge rains down into the receptacles of your attachments. But if allowed, this higher awareness flows into points that need help and appears as insight.

The higher self has a clearer picture, a fuller context, due to its higher frequency perspective.

Should all the wisdom of the universe be poured over us, we should yet receive only that which we are ready to understand. (Holmes 44-45)SoMwisdom • New Thought • Holmes

Distortion of the Flow

We are free to block or distort the infinite flow. Our free will allows us to explore any experience we desire, even if it’s not in our best interest.

Most thoughts making their way to the surface of the mind have been distorted by stress. They are no longer particularly filled with clarity, intelligence, happiness, love or energy. Previous life experiences and the beliefs based on those experiences twist and maim the original intention and purity of the thoughts arising from their Source. . . . The actions resulting from these diminished thoughts are necessarily flawed, mutually contradictory and weak. (MSI 25)

If the rising thought stream collides with a stress in the nervous system, it will lose the purity of its original intention. This causes the thought to take on the characteristics of the limitation. (MSI 28)Ewisdom • modern, Hindu • Isham

“The thought takes on the characteristics of the limitation” is the energy becoming the belief or Specific Search and projecting it out.

Every desire that manifests in the human mind has at its inception enough power and significance to be fulfilled instantly. But in the Waking State, by the time the desire reaches the surface of the mind, it is colored by previous impressions of stress and limitation, is therefore weak, often pointless, self-contradictory or even damaging. (MSI 113-114)Ewisdom • modern, Hindu • Isham

Instead of embracing the “emptiness” . . . in which we could find the bliss of being free from and unburdened by any idea, reference, or concept, we grasp at the dubious security of the familiar, comforting drama of our emotions, driven by our deep, habitual tendencies. And this is how an inherently unconditional energy arising from the nature of mind is crystallized into the form of an emotion, and how its fundamental purity is then colored and distorted by our samsaric vision to provide a continuous source of everyday distractions and delusions. (Rinpoche 346)TBoLDwisdom • Tibetan • Rinpoche

When you know that God’s Energy comes forth into the individual absolutely Pure and Perfect, then you must realize that it is the individual who requalifies that energy and imposes his own impure quality upon it. This Pure God Energy is projected forth by the conscious effort of the individual, and he must impose some kind of a quality upon it, for that is his privilege as a Creator.

Everyone is constantly qualifying this energy, which is pouring forth continually. Each one is continually pouring his color into it, through his own consciousness. (King 71-72)IADchanneled • Theosophy • Germain

After the primary creative force moves out from human spiritual reality, it becomes distorted and then acts against universal law. This distortion occurs when the primary creative impulse impinges upon an energy block or distortion within the aura. As soon as the primary creative impulse becomes distorted on its way into the denser layers of the auric bodies, it continues to be distorted as it is transmitted to succeeding levels. (Brennan 141-142)HoLclairvoyant • modern • Brennan

If our outer thought were never confused, we should at all times draw from this Infinite source of knowledge; we should be guided by It and never make mistakes; our minds would be like the smooth surface of a lake, unruffled by wind and storm.

But with most of us this is not the case; we become confused in the outer so that the surface of the mind is in turmoil, no longer clear and transparent, and we cannot get the clear vision, the real guidance, and we get things wrong because we do not see clearly. (Holmes 64)CMSwisdom • New Thought • Holmes

See “The Expression of the Flow” in thoughts.php for how we focus the flow into the creation and growth of thought forms.

Producing Emotional Ripples

Our focus is where we are directing the flow. The light of the flow charges up our focuses and produces ripples of emotion that can be felt by others. This is a foundational method of nonphysical communication, and what creates the colors in our aura.

See “The Nature of Higher Communication - Telepathy” in communication.php and “The Aura” in energy-bodies.php.

Getting Snagged on Experiences

Our focus can hang up on people and situations for a long time. For example, Bodhi, Gwen, and I were on this lower rock, looking at the scene before us. After a few minutes, I began trying to get the kids to return to the main area, thinking we might be in some people’s pictures. While they dithered, I overheard someone behind us say something about some people being selfish and blocking the view. He was referring to us, though it wasn’t spoken to us. At some level I think he sensed that I heard him. After we returned to the top, we passed by someone who froze up, focusing on me without looking at me. He seemed clearly to be the one who spoke.

I held onto that little interaction for 5-10 minutes as we walked. During that time, it obscured my experience of the gorgeous physical environment of Moraine Lake around me, and bounced back to my attention at intervals.

Getting to a point where little conflicts don’t pull us away from the present is one of the primary challenges of life in the physical.

See “The Path of Letting Go” in skylike-awareness.php.

Love and Fear
Being Open or Closed
Marijuana, Psilocybin, LSD

All begins with love, the free flow of energy and expression. When we are open, it flows through us. Fear closes us and takes us out of the flow. This is the basis of the human experience.

When open, our attention shines out of us and becomes. When closed, we remain separated.

Tunneling: Expansion and Contraction

LSD and psilocybin melt down and release our full energy to flow freely in the experience of the now. In this state of Primal Awareness, we can really feel two very distinct modes of being — love and fear. Love feels like flowing with experiences in the now, and fear feels like freezing up, pulling back from experience. I perceived this effect as “tunneling”: love is expanding, moving forwards through a tunnel, and fear is constricting, moving backwards. I’m most aware of this current of being in the rare circumstances where it changes:

We had taken LSD and my friends J & R had hoped for a quick walk through town before it came on. I don’t like this idea one bit — if there’s something I just can’t take, it’s tripping in a public place with lots of people. Just as we were leaving the main Oberlin campus, it began to come on. A girl was walking ahead of us wearing a black dress with white dots all over it. To our altered vision, the dots were moving in a strange pattern, throwing off our ideas of depth. J & R laughed and pointed, not noticing that their behavior was making this girl uncomfortable. She half-turned around a few times, then crossed the street. I felt sick. How could they be so unaware of the effect of their actions? I wanted to get into my room, lock the door, and stay away from them. And that’s just what I did.

The feeling of expansiveness and flaring energy I usually felt when tripping had wholly inverted, had turned inward on itself. I felt ashamed for being party to such a rude thing — I had wholly empathized with the girl outside. It felt like I was moving backwards through a tunnel, closing off, shrinking down, retreating. I sat on my bed and tried to calm myself. When I closed my eyes, the swirling psychedelic patterns were integrating sharp, knife-like edges and scary faces into their design. I turned to writing. I reassured myself, loved myself, accepted myself, and eventually noticed a distinct change. The feeling of constriction, of turning in on myself was slowing and gradually changing. Soon I felt myself expanding, moving forward again, fearless, expressive, and solid in myself. Before long, I rejoined my friends and had a good time.

I distinctly experienced two very basic energy movements in the experience above: expansion and contraction. They describe our relationship with the now, and are equivalent to the two primary emotions: love and fear.

Feeling Warmth from Others

We feel this energy every time we interact with someone. Someone who is open with us (expanding towards us) feels warm, while someone who is closed up (contracting away from us) feels cold.

I felt this in vivid detail on my first LSD trip when a warm conversation with a friend hit a wall of cold. She closed up. Her tunneling reversed.

As we talked, I felt the energy of our connection pulling me towards her. Curious at where it was leading, I asked if I could kiss her. That’s when the wall of cold went up. I could feel it more real than matter. Understandable — she was the roommate of my ex. I realized now that the connection was pulling towards her eyes.

We know when someone’s relaxed around us. They give off a warmth. Describing someone as “warm” or “cold” reflects the energetic reality of the situation. At these energetic levels higher up the stream, we feel this and we know exactly where we stand. Every communication at these inner levels is true.

Love, Expansion, Being in the Now

Imagine concentric circles expanding, like we are moving forward through a tunnel. Moving towards something is embracing it. This is the motion of love, curiosity, acceptance, and growth. We are expanding, embracing, becoming, and expressing. It is going forward into life to have new experiences. It is a person with open arms and open eyes, accepting, warm, and curious. It’s expanding into the world, continually present in the now, and able to change our fate. It is giving off a fountain of energy, waves radiating outwards from within us. What is hidden is expanding into awareness. Answers bubble up from the chaos.

This is being present in the now, the flow from the Source continually moving through us. This state is refreshing, regenerating. It regenerates the energy we use to focus our attention.

Tunneling forward — moving forward

“Nothing gets to me” — the flow’s continual expansion from within washes away anything that might bother us or affect us negatively.

“nothing gets to me”
Tunneling forward is expanding

Tunneling forward brings us into higher frequencies of consciousness. Lower frequencies cannot approach the higher because the higher is flowing out so much faster. It’d be like swimming up a waterfall. This is also why directed negative thoughts don’t reach those who are fully present in the now. They simply can’t get through the person’s outward flow.

On my first LSD trip, someone nearby heard we were tripping, and came up to me and tried to get a reaction by scaring me. I just watched him within this infinite calm presence, observing his behavior. Not getting any reaction, he went along on his way.

Open wide and let the power of the Spirit flow through you like rivers of living water, sweeping out all pettiness, all fears, all doubts of self. When you do this you have risen and the new self has been released from the things of the old, the things you have feared and fought against. (Strong 78)LotSBwisdom • Strong

The flow from the Source fills us completely, breaks the illusion that our happiness lies only behind certain conditions, washes away those attachments as we are given everything we could ever want — love, acceptance, energy, wisdom, and inspiration.

Curiosity

Curiosity is equivalent to tunneling forward. It’s wanting to experience new things; openly moving towards and into whatever is interesting.

(Curiosity is perhaps the most unrecognized and undistorted form of such [love] energy.) (Monroe 118)FJOBEr • modern • Monroe

Relaxation and Flow

I’m tingling all over my body. I feel open, my energy flowing, communicating, merging with Buttercup. She’s got that blue moonlight glow. Energy is flowing freely through touch. My whole body feels so deeply relaxed. It feels as if my body is covered in thousands of little energy gates and they’re wide open. I feel a perfect relationship with Buttercup and the world. It’s there simply by relaxing, trusting, opening up.

Warm, flowing, opened up, interacting.
Cold, non-flowing, closed, non-interacting.

We create that smooth, open, joyful experience by being present. We communicate by touch, relaxing, melting under it or freezing up when touched. Melting is free communication. Fear closes you up.

Relaxation allows my energy to flow and react and become.

Relax is more flowing, more swirling, more changing, reacting,
fully open to infinite subtleties in the holomovement.

Feelings of Expansion

Feelings of expansion are a common part of mystical experiences. see “Feelings of Expansion” in skylike-awareness.php.

Expansion and Distraction

Expansion by Consecutive Moments: As consciousness maintains a focus, it also expands. We expand into the universal hologram equal to our continuous focus in the moment. In the following series of moments, imagine 1 is focus in the now and 0 is distraction from the past. With attention of 11111110111110, we have a focus and feel an expansion of 7 consecutive moments, and we see more clearly. A more distracted attention of 01101101000 has only 2 consecutive moments. Distractions RESET the expansion.

Many distractions. Circle of size 2, circle of size 3. Calm.
Few distractions. Circle of size 9, see more truly. Excited.

We expand outwards until our focus is broken by the distraction of desire or fear. Those in denial have to unfocus quicker to avoid the truth appearing.

16 flash hold. Clear universal hologram.

When our awareness is constantly broken by distractions, the sphere of light starts over and over, not having much time to expand. The faster our attention jumps from thing to thing, the smaller its expansion on each thing.

Expansion by Overall Focus: I’ve also described this expansion as our overall focus in the now. The higher the percentage of moments we spend in the now (rather than consecutive moments), the more expanded we feel. In this case, it is diminished but not broken by each distraction.

Focus Freezes the Flow

This is a new realization that’s gaining ground!

Focusing on something freezes the flow. It could be a thought, a memory, a search. We expend energy to hold something steady before our mind’s eye, so that we can examine it. The flow would wash it away. So we step out of the flow to focus. As we hold our attention on something, our body assists us — our breathing slows, we stop moving. After some time of focused concentration, we feel depleted and need to release our object of focus to step back into the flow to replenish our energy. Our energy can once again cycle back and forth as we let the past slip away again.

When we focus, our frequency drops. We are grabbing onto a focus and falling back in the stream, holding it steady before our internal vision. This happens in the same way as trying to retrieve a memory. We drop in frequency to remember, then hold it steady in our focus. see “Keeping Memories Alive Through Replays” in attention.php for more.

This phenomenon can readily be seen when relaxing towards sleep. The satori waves which move towards the center of the visual field stop in place the moment we begin focusing on something, thinking about something. The moment we stop thinking, they begin moving again. see “Satori and The Entrance Into Dreams” in into-dreams.php.

It is also very easily perceived in altered states. see “Focus Near Zero Context” in pure-essence.php and “Unfocus Near Zero Context” in pure-essence.php for more.

While on a weak dose of mushrooms:

More of my energy is being freed into motion. A large amount — so much more than I’m used to dealing with. Just now I thought “what day is it?”. The motion stopped. But now I’ll go release it again.

Attention on a thing freezes up the rolling, brilliant, relaxing, flowing energy.

Attention holds our focus on a thought before it flows away and is forgotten. It’s like holding our breath. We step out of the regeneration of the rolling energy to accomplish something.

Fear, Contraction, Pulling Back from the Now

Fear is synonymous with resistance.

The opposite is concentric circles contracting, like when you’re moving backwards through a tunnel. This is resisting our current experience. Moving away from something is fear. This is the motion of pulling away, resisting, rejecting, withdrawing, hiding, shrinking, closing, and reducing to nothing. It’s “shrinking” from pain. It’s being behind a dark, cold, protective shield. Things happen to us, change is resisted.

This is pulling back from the now, resisting your current experience. Our energy is held in, diminishing. We stop moving forward in psychological time. The now is moving away from us while we remain stationary.

Tunneling backwards is moving away

Energy is condensing on us. “Everything gets to me, sticks.”

Energy is condensing on him. Layers, dying, closing.
Tunneling backwards is contracting

Where love is engaging with the now of experience, fear is pulling back.

When fear hits, we seem to have hit a sudden barrier and the direction changes from moving towards to moving away. We are rejecting this experience. This continues until we feel comfortable again, and we return to tunneling forward. In the experience above I was able to open up again and return to the feeling of expansion through self-love and acceptance.

All energy is in the now, not the future, not the past. We can’t change things when pulling back from the now. Change can only occur through engagement in the now. It is the only active point. Tunneling backward pulls us from the action, distances us from the moment. When we distance ourselves, we have nothing to do with what’s going to happen next, and become a victim of events.

Fear is always a freezing up to look into the past. As we breathe, we come forward, focus in the environment, and enjoy being into the now.

Part of our individuality is the ability to close ourselves off; as much as we want, for as long as we want. We must choose to open up to the flow.

Fear is the one thing that you have to transmute, above all other things. . . . It is the one thing that can create a contraction of the soul, which closes out love. (Fairchilde 64)VftAchanneled • modern • Fairchilde

Everything belongs to one world, but if each thing or life lives to itself, it cuts itself off from the one great teeming force field. If each opens out to the all, then currents flow through unhindered. (Maclean 230)GHLcompilation • modern • many

When we suddenly tunnel backwards, we experience a harsh, scratchy squeak as we harden and pull back from the now. That description was a phenomenological experience for me — but this has been represented in modern media as the record scratch sound when something pulls us out of the flow!

Record Scratch

Note how the pitch rises when pulling back. Higher pitches relate to fear and anxiety, in contrast to the low, deep, relaxing sound of OM, which, according to Hinduism, is the sound of the divine.

What Happens Energetically

Outside the physical body, we exist in the dimensions of consciousness. From here we have the ability to view, share, and enter into experiences within physical space (memories). In these, we can move about freely through time — following the action in chronological physical time, pausing time, and moving forwards or backwards in time (we’ll cover this in detail later).

However, when anchored to a physical body, this free movement in the physical time dimension is limited. Our physical bodies cannot escape physical time. They continuously move through physical time and our physical senses keep sending their signals.

With any kind of impending negative experience, our higher-dimensional consciousness can resist by pulling attention back from the now. We diminish the experience in psychological time. We tunnel backwards, contracting away from the experience, diminishing it, making it smaller. We essentially leave the now of the physical body to diminish unwanted experiences.

Our higher selves know that we can end an experience by jumping out of the body we’re inhabiting. We can avoid an impending painful experience this way. We do this in dreams regularly (see “Jumping Out When In Danger” in higher-sense-perception.php). It’s also a well-known phenomenon in physical life during a traumatic experience. It’s called dissociation. We rapidly pull back from the character we’re inhabiting, where we don’t have to experience the pain directly and can watch from a detached, unemotional third-person point of view.

Similarly, but to a lesser degree, we pull our energy back from the now when expecting pain. The very pulling back from that fear constricts part of our energy (part of us) into the psychic cyst of a Specific Search. That part of us remains bound up in slowly-moving time, carrying the event with us in order to protect us from it in the future.

It becomes an experience we will not approach, one our consciousness has not lived through in psychological time. It remains in our mental space, a charged up thought, a fading light, projecting outwards to find and protect us from similar experiences. In order to heal, our consciousness must stop resisting and move through the experience, live through it. Only the heat of the now can melt the structure holding it in place. If we don’t, that much of our energy remains hardened, set aside, unavailable to us in the now, acting as a filter to present experience.

THIS IS KEY. This is how holographic structures are created and released.

Let’s say we have an experience where we’re hurt. When the pain comes, we close up to avoid the experience. A Specific Search is formed based on the context of the situation. The search immediately begins looking out for the situation that formed it. It’s not just a search — it’s that very energy withheld by the fear in that moment peeking back out.

My other model for this is in terms of charging thoughts and experiences up with the light of attention. That attention keeps it bright in our memory, and pulls our attention back to it at intervals or when relaxing down into the silence. Giving further attention charges it up more.

These experiences return to our attention at periodic intervals. see “The Recurrence of Strong Experiences” in attention.php.

Withdrawing and Filling Energy

We can pull back or focus in on smaller scales, affecting just a part of our body.

My cat Cous-Cous pulled his energy in from his face as he felt he might get swatted at by his brother. Then it filled out due to his sudden urge to attack and pounce. The energy body pulls away, dries from places of fear, to try to numb pain or expected pain. It fills in due to engagement.

The astral filling the flesh, the visual field can recede.
The astral can recede.
Expectation of fear.
The astral retracts, a dead, numb feeling.

Fear’s Nature

When afraid, our focus increases, and our energy freezes up. Anytime there is a threat of pain, we pull back out of the flow (the now), in an attempt to keep the pain from reaching us.

Fear Separates: Fear pulls us back from the now, the Source, which separates us from connecting with other people. We close. We stop becoming.

Fear & Breathing: When feeling fear, we stop breathing. This is due to freezing up, withdrawing from the moment. To get through a fear, focus in the moment by breathing deeply. Prove to that fear that it is unfounded by being present in the situation.

Denial & Avoidance: Fear blacks out moments to try to avoid them. Your perception goes on-off-off-off-on-off-off-off-on. This is the diminishing presence of psychological time within physical time. We are trying to NOT be in the present for the pain. We search for a way out, and failing that, a distraction.

Our Outlook

Looking in the mirror while on mushrooms, there seemed to be a current pulling away in my eyes.

Your expression reflects your outlook on life. Are you resisting the flow of change into 2025? Are you pulling back? What if the best time in your life is coming? How would your attitude change? Take that feeling — be so excited for what’s coming in life, not holding back in resistance.

Coping with Fear

Distraction

When we have energized a fear with our attention, it becomes a light in the darkness, and whenever we begin to unfocus and relax, it will at times catch our attention, shining forth as the brightest “fading light” (see “The Fading Lights Model” in attention.php).

When troubled by the recurrence of thoughts related to a fear, we may seek to distract ourselves with other focuses. This works but does little to reduce the fear. Whenever we do unfocus or relax, it’s still there, waiting, and the fear of it keeps us from wanting to unfocus and relax at all.

Distraction is all too easy in the age of the internet and smart phones. We can distract ourselves in every moment of downtime, all day long, forever, and never allow ourselves to relax enough where the fear might recur to us. We jump from focus to focus, avoiding the silence, but miss out on the regenerative flow. Without our natural period descents into relaxation, we become drained, stressed.

Were we to let ourselves relax through the fear, to see the thought arising but not engage with it, we enter the regenerative flow that does, at last, begin to wash the fear away.

Turning to Habitual Pleasures

If a fear does succeed in getting our focus, it filters the essence out of our experience. What can we do at this point? We can try distractions again, or try to fill the void it opened with habitual pleasures.

A fear got in, a fear of being wrong. It started pulling my attention into its perspective, which at that moment saw me as a fool. I then projected that perspective in the minds of others. Now I’ve got a big dent in my confidence. The essence has left the building. I start getting anxious, looking to fill the broken connection in some other way, seeking essence in something else. We seek a thing we attributed the essence to in the past, some food or drug or person or condition to bring back the essence. Quick! What can I do to restore my happiness?

A fear can find a potential match in our context and pull our attention to it. This strengthens the focus on the search (match found!) and holographically darkens everything else, including our mood. At these times, we may look to previous sources of pleasure (essence) to restore our good mood. We follow habitual patterns that work to make us feel better. This is why a tendency towards addiction doesn’t change as easily as the object of addiction.

In the Waking State . . . [the mind] is continually swayed by previous impressions. As these distort its calm mirror, it moves continually from object to object, from thought to thought, in the vain effort simply to be happy. (MSI 194)Ewisdom • modern, Hindu • Isham

Releasing Fears

When we resist negative experiences, we reverse our energy, pull away, tunnel backwards. We attempt to keep the experience at a distance from us, shrinking it down, reducing it. We pull away energetically, and sometimes reflect that by putting physical distance between ourselves and the object of the fear.

But in fact, by withdrawing our energy, we shrink ourselves down, and the threat grows in proportion. We stop the flow that would otherwise defend us. The threat is able to reach us because we are no longer flowing outwards. The fear that causes this reversal grows through our attention. We have acknowledged and validated the fear. The experience then lodges in us, sticks, becomes associated with that fear.

Because we tunneled backwards, that negative experience remains psychologically ahead of us. If we are to relax and become present again, we have to open up and move past it. Until we do, we remain in a closed, backwards-tunneling position. We can begin to release the fear by moving through the experience with love and acceptance. In so doing we can open up and tunnel forward again. We expand, making the negative experience shrink in comparison. The regeneration that comes from being open gradually melts away the charged experience.

We may also reject portions of ourselves that we consider unworthy — those that fail to satisfy social conditions. This is also healed through love and acceptance. When we love and accept ourselves, we reconnect with that portion of ourselves.

Some go through life trying to justify and support their fears. Some try to control or destroy the object of their fears. Doing either only strengthens the power of that fear.

One way to release fears is by facing them with full attention in the now and surviving them. A fear of dogs cannot survive a delightful experience with a puppy. Another way to release fears is simply through inattention. By depriving them of attention and being present in the now, the regenerative flow washes them away, little by little. What is there to fear when we are filled with the full energy of being present in the now?

Holographic Energy Structures

To a clairvoyant, these fears look like non-flowing blockages in our flowing energy fields.

[The wall] is fashioned of you. It is fashioned of your essence and it is full of statements NOTE: conditions, statements of what you must do in order to remain safe. . . .

In the process of going into the wall, experiencing it and enlivening it, you are also enlightening the block. The block seen in the auric field begins to move and stops disrupting the natural energy flow. (Brennan 134-135)HoLclairvoyant • modern • Brennan

Emotions and Attribution

The Nature of Emotions

All emotion is based on our believed present relationship to the Pure Essence.

There is one primary emotion, one energy motion, and that is love, coming from the flow. We can choose to pull back from it to protect ourselves from pain. In so doing we reduce the pain but remove ourselves from the flow. This is fear, resistance. There is only love and its lack. But from this one emotion and its lack arise a great deal of various other emotions.

Emotions are feelings — a sense. We feel the changes in the flow, and this leads to emotions.

Emotions in the Physical

Before physical incarnation, we are emotionally whole — happy, energized, full. We follow our curiosity and interest. It is only through incarnation into the astral and physical that we encounter needs, pain, fear and all the emotions that spiral out of our newly varying connection with the flow. Our connection to that perfect energy is conditioned by the physical body for the purpose of physical survival and procreation. For the first time we feel fear, weakness, pain, anger. We want the Pure Essence back, and our life becomes bent to the task of reuniting with it.

Emotions Are Shaped by Beliefs

We feel changes in our connection to the flow. Our beliefs both influence our connection to the flow and determine our emotional reaction to these changes. All emotions therefore are the logical effects of beliefs. We cannot change our emotions without changing the way we think. Trying to work on emotions directly will do no good. However, we can change our beliefs and then we will feel differently about things. Change the way we see a situation and we change the way we feel. We are responsible for and can change the beliefs that direct our emotions.

Our beliefs determine how we attribute causes, and our relationship to these causes determines our emotional reaction to things.

Attribution: The Determiner of Emotions

Emotions involve three different stages.

  1. Feeling a change in our connection to the flow, and thus our overall energy level
  2. Attribution: what we think caused this change
  3. The natural emotional response based on our perceived ability to influence this cause.

In more detail:

1) Feeling: We feel a change in our connection to the flow, and thus our overall energy level. If that change is a shift upwards in your energy level or happiness, then the cause we determine is stored as positive. A shift downward is stored as negative.

2) Attribution: Our immediate reaction is to find the cause. We attribute this change in energy to a certain source. This attribution is of the utmost importance; it is key in determining our behavior. How we interpret what we experience dictates what we feel. Whatever we attribute the cause of an energy shift to is the thing the emotional shift is associated with. The effect a thing or person has on us is not forgotten, for it is of great importance for our happiness. This condition or thing may becomes the trigger for a fear/desire Specific Search.

3) Emotion: Emotions are determined by our ability to influence this attributed source. Is it something we can change, like a person’s opinion or an external condition? Or is it beyond our ability to change, like a hurricane, invading army, or death?

Difficulty with Attribution

Many things can influence the amount of energy we have, and the reasons we accept dictate our reaction to that change in energy.

It is not at all uncommon to be uncertain of the source of an emotion. We simply feel the change in energy and it may take some thought and attention to find out just why we are feeling the way we are. In the end, we attribute it to a certain cause or causes. It is easy to be wrong, for there are many factors that can figure into the amount of energy we have at any given time. When the cause is simply physical, for example, we may mistakenly try to explain it socially, which will confuse us a lot when we find no good explanation for them. It’s a good idea to keep these factors in mind as just another part of being human:

There are some wonderful psychology (sociology) experiments where people are given water that, unbeknownst to them, make them very energetic or lethargic (something like that), and not knowing why they’re feeling the way they are, they attribute it to various possibly known influences like their environment or the people around them. (TO DO: find and get details)

The Primary Emotions

Here are the primary emotions in brief. Some are expanded on below.

Happiness is a feeling of positivity, which comes from being present in the now, where the flow keeps new energy coming to us. This happens when we are a) without conditions for happiness, or b) when conditions for happiness are satisfied. Excitement leads to a focus in the now in the anticipation of happiness.

Fear is a resistance focus in the now or on a projection in response to anything that threatens our perceived connection to the Pure Essence. Anger is an aggressive reaction to the perceived source of fear in an attempt to control it and take away its power. Anxiety arises from a fear of something that we have no control over.

Sadness results from the loss of something we attributed the Pure Essence to. Depression is feeling unable to reconnect to the Pure Essence.

Surprise results from a mismatch of expectations, which causes a focus of attention in the now. This can lead to fear or laughter (depending on one’s energy level).

Disgust is often listed as a primary emotion. It’s a physical response that causes us to tunnel backwards in resistance.

Happiness

Happiness is the experience of the Pure Essence in the present moment. It’s felt when we open up to experience the present without any filters or motivations. We experience the flow as the free movement of energy through our body and mind. The past is not troubling us. We are in a state of trust and acceptance, flow and harmony with ourselves and others. It’s the joy of watching a sunset, of walking in the snowfall, loving and accepting the beautiful world. This is happiness just in the experience of being present.

We also experience small doses of happiness through the holographic nature of the mind. This occurs when interacting with specific searches or other filters based on past experience. When we find what we’re looking for or avoid what we dislike, we are reunited with the limited light of attention that shines through the match.

Yet any happiness that has a reason is also a form of bondage. If there is anything that can take that condition away, then it contains some amount of fear. When there is a threat to a believed conditional source of happiness, fear (and its subordinates anger or anxiety) kick in. However, if there is no specific reason for our happiness, we have nothing to fear.

Anger — A Response to Fear

When we are afraid, our first reaction is to figure out if we can control the perceived cause. If we believe we can, our fear turns outward into anger. This is the aggressive “fight” reaction. We threaten, manipulate, and hurt others. We seek to change or remove whatever blocked our access to happiness.

Depression

Depression results from a long-term loss of connection to the flow. In some cases, the cause isn’t known, and often in these cases it comes from sickness or a chemical imbalance in the body or brain. Sometimes the cause is known but feels insurmountable — a situation we don’t know how to escape from. Even when we do know the way out, depression may drain us of the energy and will to get there.

Sadness: Loss of the Positive

Sadness comes from the loss of something we attributed the Pure Essence to — something we believe made us happy. When we lose the believed source of happiness, we feel the loss of that happiness.

The actual source of happiness is being present in the moment. So what happens is that we lose a reason to be present in the moment, and our attention fades from the now. That is the sensation of sadness. It’s a withdrawal from the moment.

How is it that we feel sad now when we lose something that would have brought us future happiness? When possibilities disappear the excitement and energy of anticipation built up into them leave us, and the light we projected into the future fades. Anticipation of future happiness causes us to become more present in the now, so when an exciting possibility disappears, our attention fades from the now, disconnecting us from the flow. We feel the sadness of losing all the Pure Essence we had hoped to find in those possibilities.

The Stages of Grief

The 5 classic stages of grief are denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance. Denial happens as we feel resistance to the loss. Anger appears as acceptance begins, directed towards what we perceive as the cause of the loss. We may try to use our power to change things. Bargaining is our attempt to avoid the loss from a more equal playing field. Depression comes from realizing we can’t change the loss. Now we mentally accept the fact of the loss, but we don’t want to experience it, so we retreat from the now. Acceptance comes when we stop focusing on the loss and reconnect with the essence by being present in the now again.

Relief: Loss of the Negative

Loss of something we feared causes a pleasurable uplift. We no longer feel the need to focus on that fear, and we become more present in the moment, increasing our energy and happiness.

The same is true of the loss of a limitation. Restrictions on our expression are lifted and possibility increases. The desires that were blocked by that limitation are now free to find expression.

Unlike loss of the positive, there is no resistance here, and we go straight to acceptance step and become more present in the moment.

Jealousy

Jealousy appears when someone else has what we think will bring happiness and we don’t. The fact that our desire has been achieved by them brings attention to our own unfulfilled desire.

Jealousy causes a resistance focus on a person, and we leave the moment as our attention is turned internally on our unfulfilled desire. It’s rather common to try to find fault with that person, but the more you diminish them, the more unfair their success seems.

Emotional Associations

Emotions become associated with any number of people, objects, and events. Those emotions will be re-triggered when our attention goes back to those things if our underlying beliefs haven’t changed. This memory and the associated beliefs and feelings are strengthened in us through our continued focus. If it’s a negative emotion, then we are hurting ourselves by growing it. When we let go of fear and anger, it’s us who feels the benefit.

Expressing a negative emotion can be cathartic, if by expressing it we can let go of it.

Chaos, Fractals, and the Flow of Information

Chaos and Higher Orders

The Stability of Higher Orders

We live in seeming disorder, but it’s because we can’t see the whole picture. We find local unpredictability in larger patterns of stability.

Lorenz saw more than randomness embedded in his weather model. He saw a fine geometrical structure, order masquerading as randomness. (Gleick 22)

The chaos Lorenz discovered, with all its unpredictability, was as stable as a marble in a bowl. You could add noise to this system, jiggle it, stir it up, interfere with its motion, and then when everything settled down, the transients dying away like echoes in a canyon, the system would return to the same peculiar pattern of irregularity as before. It was locally unpredictable, globally stable. (Gleick 48)

Nature was constrained. Disorder was channeled, it seemed, into patterns with some common underlying theme. (Gleick 152)Chaosscientific • modern • Gleick

What is most real, then, is the attractors themselves. The point swirling around it at any given time is affected by that higher reality. Looking at the point’s position at any moment doesn’t give us an understanding of what’s going on, but seeing the movement across time reveals the two holes in the middle — the cause of all the motion.

By the way, it looks a little like the infinity symbol, doesn’t it:

A linear process, given a slight nudge, tends to remain slightly off track. A nonlinear process, given the same nudge, tends to return to its starting point. . . .

With all such control phenomena, a critical issue is robustness: how well can a system withstand small jolts. Equally critical in biological systems is flexibility: how well can a system function over a range of frequencies. . . . Organisms must respond to circumstances that vary rapidly and unpredictably; no heartbeat or respiratory rhythm can be locked into the strict periodicities of the simplest physical models. Order Arising in Chaos

Marcus programmed a computer with a system of fluid equations. . . .

Then he made slides, and then he assembled the images into an animated movie. It was a revelation. In brilliant blues, reds, and yellows, a checkerboard pattern of rotating vortices coalesces into an oval with an uncanny resemblance to the Great Red Spot in NASA’s animated film of the real thing. “You can see this large-scale spot, happy as a clam amid the small-scale chaotic flow, and the chaotic flow is soaking up energy like a sponge.” . . .

The spot is a self-organizing system, created and regulated by the same nonlinear twists that create the unpredictable turmoil around it. It is stable chaos. (Gleick 55)Chaosscientific • modern • Gleick

Self-Similarity Across Scale — Fractal Recursion

The most well-known fractal is the Mandelbrot set. It is self-similar across scale. You can keep diving in deeper and deeper and you will find the same patterns recurring endlessly.

When Mandelbrot sifted the cotton-price data through IBM’s computers, he found the astonishing results he was seeking. The numbers that produced aberrations from the point of view of normal distribution produced symmetry from the point of view of scaling. Each particular price change was random and unpredictable. But the sequence of changes was independent of scale; curves for daily price changes and monthly price changes matched perfectly. (Gleick 86)

A fractal coastline

A computer-generated coastline; the details are random, but the fractal dimension is constant, so the degree of roughness or irregularity looks the same no matter how much the image is magnified. (Gleick 95)

Above all, fractal meant self-similar.

Self-similarity is a symmetry across scale. It implies recursion, pattern inside of pattern. (Gleick 103)

The presence of geometric convergence suggests that something, somewhere, is repeating itself on different scales. . . .

In an apparently unruly system, scaling meant that some quality was being preserved while everything else changed. (Gleick 172)Chaosscientific • modern • Gleick

Infinities and Zeroes

The Cantor Dust

The Cantor Dust. Begins with a line; remove the middle third; then remove the middle third of the remaining segments; and so on. The Cantor set is the dust of points that remains. They are infinitely many, but their total length is 0. (Gleick 93)

To construct a Koch curve, begin with a triangle with sides of length 1. At the middle of each side, add a new triangle one-third the size; and so on. . . .

A Koch curve

The Koch curve has some interesting features. For one thing, it is a continuous loop. . . . Each transformation adds a little area to the inside of the curve, but the total area remains finite, not much bigger than the original triangle. . . .

This paradoxical result, infinite length in a finite space, disturbed many of the turn-of-the-century mathematicians who thought about it. . . .

The Sierpinski carpet [is] constructed by cutting the center one-ninth of a square; then cutting out the centers of the eight smaller squares that remain; and so on. The three-dimensional analogue is the Menger sponge, a solid-looking lattice that has an infinite area, yet zero volume. (Gleick 99-101)Chaosscientific • modern • Gleick

Mandelbrot found that as the scale of measurement becomes smaller, the measured length of a coastline rises without limit, bays and peninsulas revealing ever-smaller subbays and subpeninsulas—at least down to atomic scales, where the process does finally come to an end. Perhaps. (Gleick 96)

A fractal is a way of seeing infinity. (Gleick 98)Chaosscientific • modern • Gleick

Fractals are a relationship to infinity, a boundary between dimensions. I encounter fractals quite a bit in my psychedelic experiences.

Fractals in the Body

In terms of the body’s resources, blood is expensive and space is at a premium. The fractal structure nature has devised works so efficiently that, in most tissue, no cell is ever more than three or four cells away from a blood vessel. Yet the vessels and blood take up little space, no more than about five percent of the body. . . .

In the digestive tract, tissue reveals undulations within undulations. The lungs, too, need to pack the greatest possible surface into the smallest space. . . . Typical human lungs pack in a surface bigger than a tennis court. . . .

The standard “exponential” description of bronchial branching proved to be quite wrong: a fractal description turned out to fit the data. The urinary collecting system proved fractal. The biliary duct in the liver. The network of special fibers in the heart that carry pulses of electric current to the contracting muscles. . . .

DNA surely cannot specify the vast number of bronchi, bronchioles, and alveoli or the particular spatial structure of the resulting tree, but it can specify a repeating process of bifurcation and development. (Gleick 108-110)Chaosscientific • modern • Gleick

Partial, Fractal Dimensions

The mind cannot visualize the whole infinite self-embedding of complexity. . . . This kind of repetition of structure on finer and finer scales can open a whole world. . . .

Fractional dimension proved to be precisely the right yardstick. In a sense, the degree of irregularity corresponded to the efficiency of the object in taking up space. A simple, Euclidean one-dimensional line fills no space at all. But the outline of the Koch curve, with infinite length crowding into finite area, does fill space. It is more than a line, yet less than a plane. . . . For the Koch curve, the infinitely extended multiplication by four-thirds gives a dimension of 1.2618. (Gleick 100-102)Chaosscientific • modern • Gleick

Psychedelics can alter our spatial perception from 3D towards 4D. This is why they can produce fractal-like experiences!

The fractal dimension of a metal’s surface, for example, often provides information that corresponds to the metal’s strength. . . . Scholz thought about a classic geological formation, a talus slope on a mountainside. From a distance it is a Euclidean shape, dimension two. As a geologist approaches, though, he finds himself walking not so much on it as in it—the talus has resolved itself into boulders the size of cars. Its effective dimension has become about 2.7, because the rock surfaces hook over and wrap around and nearly fill three-dimensional space. . . .

A cloud twenty feet away can be indistinguishable from two thousand feet away. Indeed, analysis of satellite pictures has shown an invariant fractal dimension in clouds observed from hundreds of miles away. (Gleick 106-107)Chaosscientific • modern • Gleick

On psilocybin, clouds can been seen in their higher order. Recursive structures become apparent that aren’t usually perceivable.

The renormalization shortcut succeeded by acting as though a quantity like mass were not fixed at all. Such quantities seemed to float up or down depending on the scale from which they were viewed. It seemed absurd. Yet it was an exact analogue of what Benoit Mandelbrot was realizing about geometrical shapes and the coastline of England. Their length could not be measured independent of scale. . . . Variability in the standard measures of mass or length meant that a different sort of quantity was remaining fixed. In the case of fractals, it was the fractional dimension—a constant that could be calculated and used as a tool for further calculations. . . .

By acknowledging self-similarity, it gave a way of collapsing the complexity, one layer at a time. (Gleick 161-162)Chaosscientific • modern • Gleick

In short, measurements are dependent upon the scale of the fractal dimension.

Magnifying Information from Higher Orders

Higher frequencies of consciousness are higher orders, broader contexts, all the way up to the Source, which is the utter simplicity of the prime order. The Source flows into everything, including us, through the microgeny.

The following references strange attractors. An attractor is a set of states towards which a system evolves. A strange attractor is an attractor with a fractal structure, meaning it has a partial, fractal dimension.

Imagine water flowing past an obstruction. . . . If the water flows fast enough, it produces whorls downstream. At some speed, the whorls stay in place. At some higher speed, they move. . . .

Pick a point directly downstream from the obstruction and, at uniform time intervals, ask whether the whorl is to the right or the left.

If the whorls are static, the data stream will look like this: left-left-left-left-left-left-left-left-left-left. . . . After a while, the observer starts to feel that new bits of data are failing to offer new information about the system.

Or the whorls might be moving back and forth periodically: left-right-left-right-left-right-left-right. . . . Again, though at first the system seems one degree more interesting, it quickly ceases to offer any surprises.

As the system becomes chaotic, however, strictly by virtue of its unpredictability, it generates a steady stream of information. Each new observation is a new bit. . . .

Where is this information coming from? The heat bath of the microscales, billions of molecules in their random thermodynamic dance NOTE: the Source, actually. Just as turbulence transmits energy from large scales downward through chains of vortices to the dissipating small scales of viscosity, so information is transmitted back from the small scales to the large—at any rate, this was how Shaw and his colleagues began describing it. And the channel transmitting the information upward is the strange attractor, magnifying the initial randomness just as the Butterfly Effect magnifies small uncertainties into large-scale weather patterns. . . .

Packard said, “. . . Information is clearly not just accumulated but also generated—created from connections that were not there before”. (Gleick 260-262)

So Shaw tried . . . a method of reconstructing a phase space for an unseen strange attractor, and it could be applied to any series of data at all. For the dripping faucet data, Shaw made a two-dimensional graph in which the x axis represented a time interval between a pair of drops and the y axis represented the next time interval. . . .

“It turns out that the [dripping faucet] is an excellent seismometer,” Shaw said ironically, “very efficient in bringing noise up from the little-league scales to the big-league scales.” (Gleick 265)

Goldberger noted: “Fractal processes associated with scaled, broadband spectra are ‘information-rich.’ Periodic states, in contrast, reflect narrow-band spectra and are defined by monotonous, repetitive sequences, depleted of information content.” (Gleick 293)Chaosscientific • modern • Gleick

This is how information comes to us through intuition. Information comes from the quiet, amplified through Deep Attention (magnification). This is the very mechanism by which the Source speaks to us. Frequencies closer to the Source are faster, smaller — the very microscales described here.

Information flows from specific points, the balancing edge where the smallest influences get magnified through scale and make a perceptible difference at larger scales, or slower frequencies. A silent, empty mind forms just this kind of amplifier, as in this state is able to perceive the subtle order of the Source and apply it to questions we have.

This kind of magnification of information is how we can perceive higher-frequency planes such as the astral while our consciousness is still focused in the physical.

Outside of consciousness, another medium must be used for the transmission and reception of information. Something like static is needed, a noise pattern (or carrier wave) whose pattern can be modulated to transmit messages. TO DO: See how Mark Macy communicates with TimeStream (APOWS).

I think we can look deep into changing patterns to find information in seeming chaos. We give all attention to the macro scale, but what about the tiny, subtle changes going on? Consider a number: 1.24729856372. We think of this as 1.2 or even as 1. But what if the most important digits are those deeper in? What if 637 is a sign of a much larger pattern of what is to come?

Chaos Patterns in Our Energy Fields

A chaos pattern — an unpredictably changing pattern — is equivalent to a rich source of information. Like a fractal, it reveals a higher order. In Valerie Hunt’s research measuring the subtle millivolt frequencies of the areas of the chakras, she discovered dynamic chaos patterns at the levels corresponding to those higher frequency signals:

When Hunt observed energy field data on the oscilloscope, she noticed that it changed constantly. Sometimes it came in great clumps, sometimes it waned and became patchy, as if the energy field itself were in an unceasing state of fluctuation. . . . When they analyzed the very high frequencies of the field they met with success. “We got the most dynamic chaos pattern you ever saw,” says Hunt. . . .

Recently researchers have found chaos patterns in EEG recordings of the brain, but they needed many minutes of data from numerous electrodes to obtain such a pattern. Hunt obtained a chaos pattern from three to four seconds of data recorded by one electrode, suggesting that the human energy field is far richer in information and possesses a far more complex and dynamic organization than even the electrical activity of the brain. (Talbot 177-178)HUscientific, researcher • modern • Talbot

The chaos pattern shows that information is rapidly coming through at higher frequencies of consciousness. This is what is known as intuition.

The Tesseract and Periods of Change

I was looking at how, through fractal patterns, things come bubbling up from the chaos, the subtle, the deep subconscious into reality. Certain cycles of change in our collective reality that may look scary tend towards a better positive outcome. A band of darkness may precede a much longer band of lightness. As we look up into the fractal-sphere (a collective 3D fractal) towards the light, the Source, we get diverted out into pools of thought (steadily darkening) before steering closer to the source of reality and the light (the Sphere & Beam model).

Knowing this now, I’m reassured in the state of the world.

While high and worrying about the state of the world, I saw a three dimensional pattern. It was made of white and purple bands of varying width. It represented the flow and growth of human society. The purple bands represented periods of darkness and chaos and change, while the white represented periods of peace and happiness. We were in an extended band of purple, but ahead of us was an extended band of white, and I got the impression that for all this chaos, we are going to come out better on the other side.

The model of social change

The pattern I saw was roughly cube-like, semi-transparent, with a Z-shaped pattern on every face that connected to the next dimensional surface. There was a continuous flow through all of them. What I was unable to draw above was that it was somewhat similar to the common depiction of a tesseract, which is a 4-dimensional cube.

And then the beautiful light was very near to me, and I perceived a calming intelligence, a being composed of pure light that projected before me a peculiar, three-dimensional geometric design that somehow instantly permeated my very essence with the knowledge that everything would be all right.

The very sight of that geometric design somehow transmitted to me that there was a pattern to the universe and a meaning, a Divine Plan, to life. . . .

Three or four of the group stated that they understood what I was attempting to explain, for they, too, had been shown some kind of tranquilizing, yet revelatory, geometric object. . . .

Fractal geometry . . . very closely approximated what I had been shown during my near-death experience. (Steiger 14-15)OwtLNDErs • modern • Steiger

Models of Consciousness
Marijuana, Psilocybin

In my psychedelic experiences over the years, I watched with great attention how my mind worked. Images and concepts appeared to explain things. Some repeated again and again in slightly different forms. Others seemed to stand alone, and only fit in with the rest after some time. Here is my best synthesis of these models and concepts to date.

The World of Consciousness

The Shape of the Source

The shape of the Source begins as an infinity symbol, the current looping around from one side to the other and back eternally. It’s also spinning rapidly along its long axis to appear solid in 3D, in the general shape of a peanut. I see it in a light orange color. Each stream of consciousness comes out of THAT. And that spinning along the axis forms a field in the shape of a torus on its side — the field of consciousness.

There’s only one side. The other is a reflection. Flame-shaped. The toroid (torus).
Details: The shape of the Source?

A moment is the back and forth of the wave of the infinity symbol across the center, from black to white and back, unending. Each cycle is a moment. Imagine a circle, where the center is pulsing out in a third dimension one direction then the other. One direction brings light, the other dark. The light is the signal. The dark gives it relative existence, distinction from something. This is the origin of time.

We Are Vortex Tunnels

In every direction outside of the Source, long vortex tunnels reach off of it, like the tentacles of a sea anemone. Each one of these is an individual consciousness. Each tunnel is an individual’s pathway outwards from the Source. These tunnels wave around like tendrils as we change our focus (out at the tip).

The tunnels extend outward through frequency domains. The tips of the tendrils change proximity from the Source — relating to their primary world of focus (reincarnating, astral, physical). The distance from the Source is how far the tentacle or vortex tunnels away from it into slower frequency domains. Incarnation means your vortex goes further out for a time, into the physical world — the world that far out from the Source.

There’s only one side. The other is a reflection. Tendrils, vortexes of consciousness. Each of us it one. These cover the whole thing. The sudden turn is where they are influenced by the past, looking at a past event. Distance from the now. Looking down one. Our distance off from the Source

We are the tunnels to the Source. Our frequency is determined by how far away from the Source we are. Our direction away from the Source (our “tilt”) is based on our focus.

In my visions, I am flying among these tunnels. We can see through anyone’s eyes, feel the light or darkness of how far they are (distance and direction) from the Source.

As a whole, the vortexes of consciousness remind me most of the tentacles of a sea anemone, or the plasma filaments moving about in a plasma globe:

Our focus is at the tip of our vortex tunnel. In the following, the tunnel would be non-physical, and only the face would have entered the physical.

Within the Tunnels

The Frames of Time

Now let’s look within the tunnel.

The Source is the origin of time, of consciousness. The Source is flowing out in a flood of moments, going out in rings of black and white around the edges of the tunnel. It is the now, repeatedly happening. As it is repeated again and again out through the tunnel, it takes on context, which bit by bit warps the rows of mirrors until it becomes a person’s individual life. In this way, we become twisted in various directions away from the Source, which darkens the light of consciousness. By straightening the tunnel, the light of the Source flows more directly into us rather than through curves.

Our attachments, desires, and fears are what cause the tunnel to twist about as we shift focus to them. They pull our focus to the sides, “tilting” it in various directions. Our mind tunnels become literally “twisted” by strong attachments.

Looking down one. Our distance off from Source. The frames are always curved
This white shape is the Source, distorted.

As ever, our subconscious awareness of this leaks into our language, often through slang. We feel “twisted up inside”, or “bent out of shape”. A scary person has a “twisted mind”.

Disney has a history of insightful animation. Their animation for hypnosis is eyes with expanding rings. This represents the frames of time in our tunnel back to the Source. Note that the eyes are tunneling forward, opening up. The insight continues in their use of snakes (Sir Hiss in Robin Hood and Kaa in The Jungle Book) as hypnotizers — their body is the tunnel itself.

Kaa hypnotizing Mowgli in Disney’s The Jungle Book

We’re like fish in the stream of time, swimming forward in the force of the flow of time coming off the Source. It’s a torrent of moments, virtually identical, but changing. Each moment is one signal, one pulse. The closer we come to the Source, the faster moments flow past us. We experience them as fast as the weight of our past experience allows. The distance away from the Source is determined by the amount — the weight — of our attention focused in past experience. This weight causes friction, resistance in the stream, dragging us further away, reducing our frequency.

In Borderlands 4, the transport system is a very good representation of the view down the vortex. The bends especially show how we are turned differing degrees from the Source, obscuring the light at the end. At the last moment the tunnel straightens and we appear in a new place.

Transporting in Borderlands 4

TO DO: How is the Source going out at infinite frequency, but also it is unchanging? We have time coming off it at infinite speed, and also barely at all? Is it similar to approaching a black hole?

Creating and Holding Onto Memories (new)

What are we doing with this stream of moments coming towards us? We are saving them as memories. We are amplifying some memories with our attention, keeping them close. Others we are letting pass through us up the tunnel towards higher levels of the self. The ones we keep close contribute to our identity. We hold them close as inspiring, important, or dangerous. We keep touching them over time to keep their memory alive. Each pulls a little from the pool of attention that we have for new experiences.

A typical split of attention between the present experience (center) and our memories.

When distracted, and memories are taking up far more of our attention,
and we disregard the present experience.

When our memories are quieted down and we’re more focused in the moment.

See “The Nature of Memory” in attention.php.

Our Focus Within the Sphere

At the end of the tunnel, the tip of the vortex, is the focal point of our physically-oriented consciousness. That focal point is in the center of a sphere of memory specific to a given frequency. That focal point casts a beam of light — the light of attention — out onto the sphere. As we change focus, this focal point rotates, focusing on various thoughts, memories, and sensations around the sphere.

Source, tunnel, sphere, focus direction.
Details: Our memory sphere at the end of the tunnel.

The sphere itself is based on emotional meaning, one of the primary indexes of memory. Directly forward is the light of present sensations, the experience of the now. Facing it, we see straight up the tunnel, we see the infinite. The light diminishes the further away our focus is from that point in the sphere.

The Sphere and Beam Model

The Sphere & Beam Model is a Holographic Model. The “beam” refers to the laser beam used in recording and viewing holograms, but in this case, it’s the higher-dimensional “beam” of the light of attention. The sphere, then, takes the place of a flat holographic plate. Rather, it’s a higher-dimensional projection — a full holographic physical reality springs up around us.

The Sphere & Beam is an essential building block. Each is a little universe; a current and its magnetic field; a focus and its resulting projection.

A universe! The emitter and creation

This Sphere & Beam imagery has come to mind in several of my marijuana experiences. The imagery reflects how a magnetic field looks (see below). The field is caused by a continuous current of particles moving through the center (this is the beam). The electrons move out one end, then either move forward or return back to the entrance.

Straight On to Infinity

When pointed directly towards the Source, the tunnel becomes straight, and its light comes fully into view. The moments come faster, the light becomes brighter. We expand into our higher selves. We’re approaching the now, scrolling through moments faster, increasing our frequency, towards where reality is more fluid. We perceive reality further up the stream.

It’s like traveling down a row of mirrors — those frames of time up the tunnel towards the Source. This is equivalent to being focused outward in the now. It’s tunneling forward, completely open.

When pointing a video camera at the screen it is outputting to, you see an endlessly repeating frame with light in the center (see below). This is called optical feedback. This is the row of mirror effect without our own body obscuring it. This happens when we direct our orientation straight towards the Source, towards the bright light at the center.

A video camera pointed at its output

When this happens, the vortex tunnel no longer curves — it is straight as an arrow. It has reached enlightenment.

Glinda’s wand in Wicked instantly reminded me of the shape of the Source and its vortex tunnels as well, with the addition of the bulges along the vortex tunnels representing the selves in various frequency domains. The longer ones go out further — all the way to the physical:

In addition, the fact that the vortex tunnels are all straight would represent that they are all enlightened, in the now, focusing directly on the Source. No attention is being pulled off to the sides towards lesser things, curving the tunnels.

Turning Aside — Attachments

I experienced this row of mirrors effect in the Ecstasy Trance, and saw clearly how attachments draw us away from the light. From the Ecstasy Trance:

This applies to every moment, in fact. Every new moment is full of 100% light and potential as it comes off the Source. In each moment we decide whether to be present in the moment or give our attention to thoughts based in past experiences. The strength of the attraction determines how long we remain in the thought, sinking into that thought’s context.

This is a model for our focus of attention. Straight down the middle, we see the light, but when our attention is pulled in any other direction to fears, desires, and attachments, our focus veers off from the center into that past experiences, a more dimly-lit stream of possibility.

Attachment causes the focus to turn to the sides in the stream. This causes the row of mirrors to pull to one side or another. That pull is caused by the “tilt” of our focus; a direction and degree off from pointing straight at the Source.

Looking down one. Our distance off from Source. The frames are always curved

The tunnel is like a row of mirrors. The light from the now diminishes the further away we turn from the center. The light dims because it’s a series of tilted reflections.

Source of light. It dims because it’s a series of reflections.

TO DO: Get a new video filming straight, then off to one side, then back and off to another.

It reminds me of the scene in The Empire Strikes Back, where Luke is falling straight down a large shaft, but then diverts into curving side shafts. Another example of this kind of inner knowledge bubbling up in culture. Note that the light is dimmer because the shaft is curved.

Luke falling through curving tunnels in The Empire Strikes Back

Our path from the light of the now is diverted into streams of thought and back. From another perspective, this looks like meandering paths:

Stream/beam of god. Following thoughts instead of god beam.
Frames in a movie in motion.

Moving the camera off center in any direction causes the frames to spin off and swirl about. I had a video camera that had a “negative” switch which altered all the output from black to white and reversed the colors with each recursion. Here the camera is tilted and moving slightly about:

A video camera with negative transformation pointed at its output.
The Call of the Past

We turn away from the now to the fading lights of our attachments, each a FILTER through which our experience of the now is run through. We are jumping between different projections from different thoughts.

Focusing on desires, fears, and expectations from the past eclipses the essence, tilts us away from the Source. The worse the day, the more we shut ourselves to it, diminishing the light we put in it. We think the now has nothing to offer us — an observation only possible because we’re already filtering all the light out of it.

To the degree that we close, we redirect our attention inwards towards past lights. In that semi-darkness, the little lights of past delights draw our attention. They glow with the light of the attention that we’ve projected into them in the past. Here in the relative darkness, they seem to glow more brightly. Often we return our focus to their dim lights. If still available, we bring ourselves to enjoy them again, trying to recapture that feeling.

It’s the contrasts that cause attachment. Without contrast, little from the past can draw our attention out of the brilliant now.

A need. Project essence into it to distract it.

We keep these thoughts going by repeatedly feeding them attention over time, and in turn they call on us to keep looking at them, attending to them, out away from the bright light of the now.

Our past experiences are flashing their bright lights of stored attention back up at us as they recede into memory. “Don’t forget us! Don’t forget us! Look again! There’s something good here!” This is what the fading lights of thoughts say to us, tilting our orientation away from the Source in the direction where they are stored. This changes the light settings on our experience — we experience life LITERALLY FROM THAT ANGLE. And from that particular focus, now other related thoughts are nearby, thoughts with a similar “bent” (all these clever terms sneaking into our language). Each past experience has a proximity to others, which may then pull our attention next.

We “put something behind us” when we forget it. We let it fall from our attention, fall away into the past where it doesn’t bother us, doesn’t pull at our attention anymore.

As Frequency Increases

L.M.: “Aware that I am dreaming I find myself in an area from which four tunnels branch. I intuitively know where each leads—memory, intellect, emotions and psychic.

“I am tempted to go down the path to memory because it includes not only memory of this life but of all my lives as well. Again intuition comes to my aid, and I choose the tunnel to the psychic. There I know I will find the tools that will help me investigate the other three realms in a proper manner. I enter the tunnel, and it becomes very dark. But I can see a bright point of white light ahead of me in the distance. After a while I become aware of eerie lights ahead of me off to either side of me and the feeling that if I look at them I will go crazy and I should keep my attention focused on the white light ahead.

“Suddenly I come out of the tunnel, and see that my goal is an orb of white light which at the time I think is the moon. I become aware that there is great beauty all about me; but I should concentrate on going to the moon and not look to the side. Finally I can’t resist any longer and look upon incredible beauty. I find that I am weightless and can fly. I go soaring off among clouds outlined in silver, colorful comets and a plenitude of stars. After a while I recall my goal to reach the moon and to discover my psychic powers. I look around and it is nowhere in sight.” (Sparrow 9)LDDCLLDer • modern • Sparrow

It’s remarkable how much this matches with these models.

This also reminds me a lot of what happens after astral rescue missions, or anytime one enters the astral plane of consciousness — they remain on the beam or in the tunnel, increasing in frequency until they get off it by becoming interested in something off to the side. This is where they spend time working through their attractions.

Our Bouncing Focus

Imagine that little focus is, in a way, magnetic, and rests in the center of the larger magnetic sphere. Our focus turns in various directions as it “bounces” between different attractions in a magnetic way. Our purpose is to live in the now by aligning with the larger field.

magnetic bouncing
Resistance to the light bounces the charge. On, off.
Bouncing is how it works! Magnetic bouncing influenced by all the others at a distance.
Learn and pass through. All are attracted to going the direction of the current, into creation,
into effortlessness.

When you stop focusing on one stream of thought, your attention moves to the next strongest light.

This is where the Sphere & Beam Model connects to the “Fading Lights Model” and “Flash Bounce Model”. see “The Recurrence of Strong Experiences” in attention.php.

Following Our Eyes

The movement of our eyes when thinking gives a good idea of how our internal focus shifts around — the shifts and their frequency reflect inner focuses. Where our eyes look when we’re thinking reveal if our focus is on memory, creativity, and so on.

The Direction of Memory

Each consciousness is generally oriented toward the Source, and since the Source is the now, memories recede on outwards past us. When we focus on a memory (desire, fear, belief), we tilt ourselves in the direction of that memory, causing the tunnel to curve, and causing that memory to be projected out towards our experience.

The sudden turn is where they are influenced by the past, looking at a past event
A focus on a specific memory tilts our focus and projects it out. Source, tunnel, sphere, projected, memories.

I see this spherical sheet of reflective squares, floating in mind space, they dent and bend through the pull of past experiences. They tilt our frame when they draw our attention, due to the charged past experiences behind them. To me this appeared in a crystalline form, the charged memory slightly blurred through it. Focusing on it tilts the panel, changing our orientation in the tunnel.

The effect reminds me of the blurred, faceted force field armor in Dune (1984):

Looking through a force field in Dune (1984)

Returning to the Source

This is the story of how we forgot who we were and found ourselves again. How we spun out of the Source, and spiraled about trying to find love, trying to find and accept infinite love. How we chased the things we mistook as the Source, which our attention shone its light into out in the physical world.

Those magnetic weights pull our focus downstream from the Source, into the past. As we allow our attention to return to them less and less, they lose their magnetic pull, and we can spiral around closer to the Source before reaching “full magnetic alignment” and facing directly towards it, which means ALL of our attention is on the Source, nothing held back in other wants, needs, fears. None of the literal magnetic weights of attachments pulling us away from the Source.

The Cascade

Our ever-changing orientation and distance away from the Source writes light across the sphere around us in a cascade, which spreads outward towards us, reaching us at our current frequency (distance from the now), and moving on into the past as the flow continues.

The path of our attention creates these cascades of the Source’s flow as we move our focus around relative to the Source.

The patterns cascade down from the Source as we look up the tunnel towards it. The cascade is due to the position we’re facing relative to the Source. It’s like looking up in a cascade of water, as it falls in every direction around us. For example, if we’re looking a little bit below the Source, the Source cascades above us. The form of the cascade is constantly shifting about based on our changing focus relative to the Source. As we tilt our focus back and forth, the cascade pours down around us on every side. Of course, it’s our attachments from the past pulling our attention away from the Source.

Looking up and to the right, then back down. The cascade as we change focus.
This is the literal stream of consciousness.
Cascade based on a meteor from the movie Your Name

The cascade approaches from the distant center of the tunnel, the lights getting bigger and spreading out as they approach us. Like the tiny objects getting bigger out of the center in a fractal.

Diving into a fractal

Because the cascade is a fractal pattern, there are countless recursions of the source pattern within it. Each of these leads back to the Source if we focus on them. Each leads back to the intensified energy and flow at the center of the cascade. This is how the Source speaks to us through any context. Consciousness stares, eternally enraptured by the patterns coming from the Source, our individuality defined by where we focus in the pattern, and where we focused in the past.

Within the vortex, I’m dancing around in the force of the flow, circling the Source, coming nearer and farther, those cascades fueling my visions. The closer I go, the better the insight, but the harder to retain.

It’s like I’m standing in a chamber of infinite towering insights. Where to look next?

This stream of consciousness is distinct from the experience of the physical. It’s the frequency of moments we experience, our openness to the flow, to love.

To see how the Source speaks through any context, through recursion in the fractal, see “How The Source Speaks To Us” below.

Fractal Mathematics Class 1999 • age 25
The images changes the further from the center

I’m in a math class and the teacher is talking about fractals. He has a laser pointer and is shining it at the back wall. As he moves it to the right or left, it grows into a larger and larger fractal pattern, but the center of the pattern is also shifting out of sight, out of what the laser is lighting up. The result of this is that you can either see the center (but it’s very small), OR you can see details (but not the center). There is also an up/down adjustment for color (this I’m less sure of). I had the impression that THIS IS HOW VISION WORKS.

The Cascade: This seems related to the cascade. Change this from a static fractal to the flow coming towards us, and as we shift our attention to the side (or any direction away from the center), the pattern enlarges around us, but we see less of the center — we become engaged in a part of the pattern for a time, until we turn our attention back towards the Source, increasing energy flow and possibility.

To see how the cascade forms the energy backdrop of dreams and visions, see “The Cascade” in into-dreams.php.

Our Choices — Picking a Path

We travel certain parts of the cascade, take certain paths in life from the infinite ways the cascade can spiral off. In the infinite possibility spiraling off the Source in the cascade, our attention chooses one path to follow, to pay attention to. We light that path up, remember it out of the many possibilities as what we did. That becomes our path, our memory. The life we experience consists of continuously choosing paths out of these possibilities.

Exploring the Physical Universe

The physical universe is something that is attracting us (our interest), just as any object that approaches an electrically-charged wire creates a spark. The “proximity” of the 3D universe is calling the tunnels (vortexes, filaments, tentacles) of people’s consciousness towards itself to explore it, like the filaments in plasma globes reaching out towards a touch on the outside, or like an octopus reaching out to a ball. This physical world is “passing through our minds” right now, where it’ll reach a maximum connection (interest) from the Source before diminishing again as it moves away.

“Interest” like a plasma ball reaching out. Physical universe
Details: yeah, I know what this looks like.
A plasma globe being touched

The tip of the tunnel of consciousness, once it reaches the physical, is being jerked all about by physical needs. The “frame” of the tunnel to the Source being pulled hard by the physical body, tilting us away from happiness towards fulfilling the need. These are the physical body’s “hooks” on consciousness. As souls, we calm the physical body and grant insight. In return, the physical body provides a stream of sensation and experience, and a context through which we experience the physical world.

I feel like the Source object could actually be one of many Sources of different shapes and sizes, floating in a sea of higher-dimensional objects — different universes.

How the Source Speaks to Us

TO DO: This is sort of an organizational mess and needs work.

Intuition

Information Through the Flow

There is a constant flow into us from the Source, the very source of our consciousness. That flow comes from higher, more subtle frequencies. The flow into us, when we are open to it, is a lifting, energizing, enlightening flow of consciousness. We need only get out of the way, and we can see with utmost clarity and knowledge. This flow is innate within us, within all consciousness.

Through the flow, information is passed from the subtle up across scales into the slower and louder frequencies of the physical consciousness. Intuition comes as higher orders of information bubble up through our quiet minds. Any answer to any question is there for us from the levels of reality where all consciousness begins to merge and share their being and knowledge. The great teacher is within.

This section is excellent.

All that there is to be known can be known by intuition. This is the sutra NOTE: truth that eliminates the need for all the others. (MSI 241)Ewisdom • modern, Hindu • Isham

The Source of Thought is the unlimited reservoir of creativity, intelligence and bliss that lies within each of us. . . .

Those fortunate thoughts that arise purely and without distortion from the Source remain surcharged with energy, intelligence and bliss; they, being unflawed, never contradict each other and therefore result in greater harmony, happiness and success. . . .

One quality of enlightenment is the ability to think and therefore speak without distortion from the Source. (MSI 25-26)Ewisdom • modern, Hindu • Isham

There are internal realizations always present within the whole self. There is comprehension of the meaning of all existence within each personality. . . .

The knowledge of this greater dimension floods outward from the innermost heart of being, and is projected outward, transforming all it touches.

This flooding-out imbues certain elements of the physical world with a brilliance and intensity far surpassing that usually known. Those touched by it are transformed, in your terms, into something more than they were. . . .

The outer world is a reflection of the inner one, though far from perfect. (Roberts 323-324)SSchanneled • modern • Seth

The flow is the light of attention and its inherent higher knowing.

When you get quiet and still your mind and shut out all thoughts and impressions coming from without, then you are in your pure soul consciousness and are free to be aware of the impressions coming from within your soul. For then you learn that deep within the soul there is a higher consciousness and a Spiritual intelligence that presses the soul from within informing you of Spiritual things, even as the outer mind’s consciousness presses from without to inform you of material things. (Benner 55-56)WOchanneled • New Thought • Benner

You are not without guidance . . . nor will you ever be. Built into you is an internal guidance system that shows you the way home. This is the voice that speaks to you always of your highest choice, that places before you your grandest vision. (Walsch 256)CWG3channeled • modern • Walsch

Intuition does not permit of reasoning, however instantaneous. It is the formless reception of vibrations. . . . It is an idea, or a series of ideas, which come, at first in a confused manner, then more and more clearly until one seems to hear as well as if a friend were speaking into one’s ears. Sometimes the idea comes and goes with the speed of a lightning flash. (Yram 127-128)PAPOBEr • Yram

“Intuition” simply means direct knowing. . . . Any information that comes to us through a process of direct knowing, which bypasses our empirical or logical faculties, is intuitive in nature. (Ryerson and Harolde 9)SCchanneled • modern • Ryerson & Harolde

This fits with my experience. As my consciousness focuses more fully in the now by approaching zero context (via marijuana), I am able to connect with and perceive what is usually subconscious.

Russell: “All knowledge can be obtained from the Universal Source of All-Knowledge by becoming One with that Source.” (Clark 36)MWTwisdom • Clark

Intuition is a communication. By releasing our focus on ourselves, we are free to become anything.

Influences from up the Stream

I just brought this section in here.

Underneath the noise are the swells of feeling, of emotion.

We are watching the great changes in society in slow motion. Further up the stream there is a more perfect world, but we’re holding back from it. The flow is trying to take the physical human tide along with waves of internal evolution.

When we allow ourselves to open up, we are informed by that grander vision. We can open up to more perfect ideas, grander ideals up the stream. They are always there for us to be a part of. We participate in their becoming a reality further down the road. Some of these influences come from probable realities.

Some are in resistance to these changes. This collective resistance pushes against the higher ideals, and delays (but can never stop) their emergence.

Rapid Revelations and Connections

Revelations unending! They are literally revealed in the context of a situation. The light is revealed. You see the light. Literally. The light of a wider-context reality.

By being deeply aware in the moment, the light of a fuller attention shines upon the situation. We become conscious of more. That wider-context reality is the point of view of the higher-dimensional self, from a place of vast experience, knowledge, and perspective. The subconscious becomes conscious.

The higher self is not bothered by what is happening here. It sees across time, across lifetimes. To it, any momentary trauma is reduced to nothing by its vast context. That trauma can be seen from a place of knowledge rather than emotion.

With Deep Attention, each thought lights up other connections and brings forth new realizations. Our awareness expands outward like ripples in a pond to all our other experiences, questions, and beliefs. As it does so, it makes connections, finds deeper relevance in our current experience, and sees it in an expanded light (context).

I’m thinking so fast! A whole 44 words in one second, no time to write them! Faster is smarter. One idea jumps out from another, and another follows from that one before I can write down the first. There is higher frequency information in dreams, faster than the physically-oriented consciousness can remember. There are many subsets, many interruptions in trains of thought as observations and ideas bubble forth. Deep in the context of my thoughts, it becomes hard to remember how I got there.

When I tried having someone near me during these experiments, I found that no kind of conversation could be carried on. I began to say something, but between the first and second words of my sentence such an enormous number of ideas occurred to me and passed before me, that the two words were so widely separated as to make it impossible to find any connection between them. And the third word I usually forgot before it was pronounced, and in trying to recall it I found a million new ideas. . . .

This is a feeling of the extraordinary lengthening of time, in which seconds seem to be years or decades. . . .

We were still able to speak and to a certain extent understand one another at the beginning of this sentence, but by the end it had become quite impossible, because there were no means of conveying to him all that I had lived through in between. . . .

Sometimes I succeeded in writing down a sentence, but usually as I was finishing it I did not remember and did not understand what it meant or why I had written it, nor could I remember this afterwards. (Ouspensky 280-281)ANMUpsychedelic • Theosophy • Ouspensky

Usually the answer began far away and, gradually widening, including everything, so that finally the answer to the question included the answers to all possible questions. Naturally, for that reason I could not retain it in my memory. (Ouspensky 288)ANMUpsychedelic • Theosophy • Ouspensky

This is perceiving up the stream of thoughts toward the Source. A very familiar psychedelic experience — where one thing becomes the metaphor for all knowledge.

In the board game Balderdash, people make up definitions for words.

Playing Balderdash while high, the definitions were so far off in randomland. They must have been 100,000 connections away. It’s a faster train of semantic connections. I feel deeply creative/random — seeing deep connections, associations, jumps.

Seeing all these similarities and connections reveals the innate interconnectedness of all things.

After the first such Self-manifestation (the person experiencing such an unexpected revelation of God’s nature or activity in the world) imagines that they have reached their goal and accomplished the matter, and that there is nothing to be sought beyond that except for that (revelatory state) to continue. But then another Self-manifestion (sic) occurs to them, with still another quality and implication unlike that of the first . . . so that through this (ongoing revelation) the person comes to know that this matter has no end. Receiving Answers

Our conscious questions draw answers out of our deeper subconscious knowing. It’s as if knowledge comes through a foundational pattern or image, which is then applied to our questions, providing the answer instantly.

This is very related to the idea that “We Know Everything At Higher Frequencies” (see above).

[The soul] gives itself, or passes into and becomes that man whom it enlightens. . . .

This communication is an influx of the Divine mind into our mind. . . .

The nature of these revelations is the same; they are perceptions of the absolute law. They are solutions of the soul’s own questions. (Emerson 22-23)GoEwisdom • modern • Emerson

When we return to such a primal state, then answers come quickly to our questions. The deep pulse directly from the Source fills in the unknown context of the question. That much larger context makes the answer clear.

Walsch: “I was not writing so much as taking dictation. . . .

The answers to the questions I was putting on paper never came to me until the question was completely written and I’d put my own thoughts away. Often the answers came faster than I could write, and I found myself scribbling to keep up.” (Walsch 2)CWG1channeled • modern • Walsch

Whenever we ask a question, the answer is already contained within us. (Ryerson and Harolde 11)SCchanneled • modern • Ryerson & Harolde

If they will enter into the “I AM Presence” as directed, every question, every problem in their lives will disappear as the mist before the radiance of the morning sunlight. (King 199)IADchanneled • Theosophy • Germain

Alfred: “You are suddenly in communications with the absolute, total knowledge. . . . You can think of a question . . . and immediately know the answer to it. . . .

“There’s absolutely no question in my mind that the light is the answer.” (Ring 58-59)HTOresearcher • modern • Ring

Consciousness, by its nature, continually expands. . . . Those problems set by one level of consciousness will automatically cause breakthroughs into other areas of conscious activity, where solutions can be found. (Roberts 165-166)URchanneled • modern • Seth

The questions are seen through a larger context. There are many examples of experiences (including my own) where simply asking questions results in instantaneous answers from the larger context of my higher-frequency self.

Besant describes the manner of communication on a higher plane of consciousness:

Question and answer are unnecessary, for the thought-pictures are read as they are formed, and the interchange of ideas is as rapid as is their flashing into existence in the mind.

All knowledge is theirs for the searching. (Leadbeater 17)DPclairvoyant • Theosophy • Leadbeater

Study and Inspiration

Our focus holds our knowledge in place as we study it. As always, that focus stops the flow. When we release our focus, the flow begins to move through that focus as it fades from our attention. In those moments, new information comes to us regarding the subject.

All our questions are answered as clearly as our language, knowledge and experience allows. The more knowledge and experience we have, the clearer the truth can be, the more precisely we can receive the answer

Let us suppose we wish to delve deeply into a subject by logical analysis and synthesis. In order to judge freely and to avoid falling into ordinary errors, we must first of all define exactly the subject to be studied. Then we must become acquainted with the latest investigations in the subject. Lastly, by an effort of will, we must drive all this information from the mind, and set to work as if we knew nothing whatever about the matter to be studied. . . .

During a moment when all our thoughts are deeply concentrated on our work, a sudden flood of ideas will surge through the mind. The pen cannot write quickly enough. . . . After having written a number of pages . . . we are brought up short by some question which seems to be bristling with obstacles. We stop working, worried by this new aspect of the subject about which we had not dreamed. The next time, having worked on this new idea . . . the same clear insight is manifested, bringing in its train the joy of seeing new points of view. (Yram 129)PAPOBEr • Yram

This is a very familiar experience to me. This is how the revelations feel. They’re directed by my interest and observations and then just flow from there.

Sometimes it’s like casting a question, a partial idea into the silence and hearing the completed idea come back to me.

[Dr. Gray] might spend weeks and months collecting all the known material and conducting his experiments. He thought about the problem constantly until at a certain point there came a moment of intense focus. When this happened it was as if a light went on in his head and the information or insight came in a clear flash. Some new and before unknown information, principle or concept solved his problem. Crossing the Boundary

On marijuana, I keep going into the dream to observe things, then coming back to write down what I see. Rest into the dream state, focus to come out and write. When I go into the dream state, my eyes are open, but my attention is not physically-focused. (now I shift back into dreaming. . . .)

(. . . and return to write) This time, everything is being explained to me in different sized waveforms — jagged waves like an EEG, changing size, moving closer (getting larger) and farther away (getting smaller). I observe that, in this waveform language, when we become present in the now the waveform expands and appears up close.

How do I see this information? Direct observation of wave forms, expressed in physical metaphor, then translated to words.

This waveform communication is like a halfway point of language between us — my self writing here, and my nonphysical self.

Spontaneous Creativity

Heyoan: [Enlightenment] is the ever renewing process of the creative force welling up inside you and everyone else. It is what coming home is all about. Your creative abilities do not simply allow you to paint pictures, to tell or write stories, to create sculpture or architecture. They do not simply provide you with a basis for your religions, sciences, and civilizations. They are your contact with the source of existence itself. (Roberts 113)DEVF1channeled • modern • Seth

Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm. The way of life is wonderful; it is by abandonment. NOTE: of thoughts, of plans, of limitations (Emerson 22)

What is best in any work of art but that . . . which the man cannot do again; that which flows from the hour and the occasion. (Emerson 30)

Men grind and grind in the mill of a truism, and nothing comes out but what was put in. But the moment they desert the tradition for a spontaneous thought, then poetry, wit, hope, virtue, learning, anecdote, all flock to their aid. (Emerson 67)GoEwisdom • modern • Emerson

For thirteen years now I have told my children bedtime stories, with no plan whatsoever what will be in them, what will happen next, what my next words will be. And they are always unique and funny, as surprising to me as to them. I simply relax, clear my mind for a moment, and begin.

Intuitive Feelings, Hunches, and Strong Urges

Intuition as hunches or sudden strong urges come from our subconscious knowing, our broader knowledge that is usually hidden to us. At this level, while the knowledge itself doesn’t make it through to us, a specific desire to act (from that knowledge) might.

Intuition is soul guidance, appearing naturally in man during those instants when his mind is calm. Nearly everyone has had the experience of an inexplicably correct “hunch.” (Yogananda 153-154)AoaYwisdom • Hinduism • Yogananda

How will that consciousness begin to manifest itself? By what some call “hunches.” You will have leadings, strong urges from within, that will claim your attention and which if heeded will always bring satisfying and happy results. . . .

Something Within knows what is best, aye, sees ahead and knows the good which awaits and is eager to lead them to that good. (Benner 305-306)WttKchanneled • New Thought • Benner

“My father on the day of his death had gone out of the house about 2:30 p.m., to have his usual afternoon stroll in the garden and fields. He had not been absent more than 7 or 8 minutes when, as I was talking to my wife and sister, I was seized with a very urgent desire to go to him. The feeling that I ought to go and see him came upon me with irresistible force. . . . Search was made, and it was my sad lot to find him dead in the field, in a place which, according to the route he ordinarily adopted, he would have reached about 7 or 8 minutes after leaving the house.”

The father’s death was felt on a subconscious level, and that came through as a strong desire to go to him.

“I sailed to Bombay in one of Dunbar’s old frigate-built ships. I was depressed the whole voyage with an undefined presentiment of ‘bad news from home.’ . . .

“At Falmouth. . . . I found that a lady who filled the place of elder sister to me . . . had been suddenly carried off by illness.”

This “undefined presentiment” was a not-quite conscious awareness of what the subconscious mind already knew.

The Emotional Qualities of Intuition

Dream: Moments of inspiration open frequencies, like a lens widening for however long the tear-gushing bliss lasts. (full dream)

The “atmosphere” which surrounds us at such times varies with the subject we are studying. When we are dealing with questions relating to the intercorrelation of our microcosm and the Absolute, then tears will spring unbeckoned to our eyes, and it is with indescribable joy that we arrive at deeper understandings. . . .

In this inspirational condition . . . the ideas which we are handling are impregnated with such a marvelous atmosphere that the vibrations, in spite of oneself, act on our emotions. If our desire to know the ultimate word, the cause of all things, has been pushed far enough, we shall find ourselves trembling, and tremendous shudders, as from a strong shock, will run up our body, from feet to head.

In this state we lose all sense of time. After several hours of steady work it seems as if we had only been at it for a few minutes, and if someone interrupts, we seem to be holding our breath as if falling from a great height. (Yram 130-131)PAPOBEr • Yram

No feeling and no enthusiasm on earth can compare with the sensations of warmth, beauty and exaltation that are enkindled by pure, crystal-clear thoughts relating to higher worlds. (Steiner 32)Tclairvoyant • Theosophy • Steiner

The Source Speaking Through the Specific

The Truth Is Universal

Truth is both universal and deeply personal.

There are infinite perspectives through which the truth can shine, and infinite metaphors that it can be revealed through. When we focus on a truth, useful physical metaphors for it may appear to us. When we focus on a form, truths may shine forth, using that form as an example.

Focus on a truth -> infinite forms can come through

Focus on a form -> infinite truths can come through

Metaphor is the confluence of two input streams — our physical experience and our higher knowing.

The perception of truth from within is called intuition. It is available to all consciousness everywhere, ever flowing through the very nature of consciousness.

Focusing on forms: The truth speaks through the personal experience and life context of each consciousness. It’s the nature of the flow to be able to communicate with every consciousness in this way. When fully focused in the moment, truth speaks through our current experience. We can gain a deep understanding of the universe by watching otters playing. The wind in the trees whispers truths to us. see “Speaking Through Forms” below.

Focusing on truth: When perceiving a truth, each “imagines” it in their own way, their best metaphor. Our physically-oriented consciousness experiences it in physical terms — through language and physical forms that are meaningful to us. A starfish would understand this feeling, this knowledge, in its terms. Each life form is a mode of experience — a unique lens through which physical reality is perceived, a different way of knowing.

Always New, Always Relevant Truth

The Source is speaking newly, now, through the very context of your life in this moment.

Messages and metaphors come as reorganizations of physical perceptions through new contexts. The drum swish in a song is formed into words, a poster says something to us that we never noticed before. Within the flow, everything finds immediate, personal relevance.

There is no limit to the ways in which it can reveal itself.

“This spirit is self-renewed in each one who will listen, by teachings from within (in-tuitions).”

— Emerson’s doctrine of intuition, given by Edward Emerson. (Emerson 43)

Truth is simple, and will not be antique; is ever present and insists on being of this age and of this moment. Here is thought and love and truth and duty, new as on the first day. (Emerson 87)GoEwisdom • modern • Emerson

Fractal Revelation — Enlarging Truths

The truth is whispering through whatever our focus is. But too often our focus is changing so fast, we can’t hear it. It takes time for the pattern to emerge from the cascade. We have to be focused long enough for it to enlarge out to us. Because it’s tiny. The Source, inherent in every signal, becomes everything. It’s fractal geometry — the original pattern keeps revealing itself within what it becomes. Through whatever I’m experiencing or thinking of. The flow became that thought or experience, so the inherent pattern is in there, too. Distraction keeps us from looking at something too long, fearing what will be revealed.

Different frequency domains determine how long we have to focus before the truth enlarges out to us. Out here in the physical, it takes the longest.

See “The Cascade” above.

Speaking Through Forms

The universal uses the specific as a metaphor for truth. You have a question? Your experience is the answer.

Anything can become a focus for the Pure Essence to speak. The truth can speak through anything we become. Attention takes the form of whatever we focus on, and we gain insight through that becoming.

The truth speaks to us in terms that are relevant to us. Thus truth comes through equations for the physicist, through clouds and ocean waves for the sailor. Truth is channeled through form and that form becomes a metaphor. If our consciousness is in the now, undistracted, then we experience the Pure Essence, and it tells us the secrets of the universe through whatever it is we are focused on:

This theory or that blade of grass is used to explain all things. This pen becomes 100% relevant, becomes a metaphor for everything. It reflects everything. As I concentrated fully on the taste of a pickle, I got message: “the universe is like the taste of a pickle,” and I saw that it was so. It becomes completely relevant. And now my full attention is on cheese. “The texture of cheese is a perfect metaphor for what you just said,” it says. It joins ideas to the real world, it melds them, creates meaning through relevance. Infinite relevance and all knowledge is shining though whatever thought or context I am currently using. A story literally comes out of the pattern in the woodwork.

THIS can explain the world to you.

The more focused in the moment we are, the more what we are experiencing now is generalized and seen as connected to everything else. We see similarities between this moment’s experience and the experience of many other moments. The now becomes the connecting point between all experiences. Everything becomes relevant. This relevance speeds up consciousness. The entirety of life becomes like what we’re experiencing right now, as we open up to all of it.

This kind of experience is further up the stream towards pure energy on its way to form. In this state, we’re in a more malleable, general, connected consciousness.

“When you touch one thing with deep awareness, you touch everything” — Thich Nhat Hanh Qwisdom • various

Whatever I focus on with the full weight of my attention, I become, and it speaks to me through metaphor. “I am a metaphor for the Source, and this is how. . . .”

“A certain good spirit, was taken up into the first heaven, and speaking with me from thence he said that he saw infinite things in what I was then reading in the Word; when yet I myself had only a simple thought on the subject. Afterward he was taken up into a more interior heaven, and he said from thence that he now saw still more things, and so many from thence that he now saw still more things, and so many that what he had seen before were comparatively gross to him. He was next taken up into a heaven still more interior, where the celestial angels are, and he said from thence that what he had before seen was scarcely anything compared with the things he now saw.” -Swedenborg, Arcana Coelestia (Rhodes 91)TtEresearcher • modern • Rhodes

If you are perceiving sensory data coming in at 25 Hz (cycles per second), your consciousness is tuned to that frequency. Now let’s say your consciousness speeds up to 50 Hz. You begin to see a different range of things, what appears to be “more subtle” because you couldn’t see it before. From 50 Hz, 25 Hz is flickering on and off and comparatively, seems less real. From consciousness at 200 Hz, the 25 Hz field of perception appears like a slideshow, in which you’re missing most of what’s going on. 200 Hz consciousness is far more real, and takes in far more information, information that from 25 Hz seems incredibly “subtle”.

Looking at the horse’s face I understood all that could be understood about a horse. . . . Each thing is an atom of a “great thing.” A glass is an atom of a “great glass.” A fork is an atom of a “great fork”. (Ouspensky 287)

I remember once sitting on a sofa smoking and looking at an ash-tray. It was an ordinary copper ash-tray. Suddenly I felt that I was beginning to understand what the ash-tray was, and at the same time, with a certain wonder and almost with fear, I felt that I had never understood it before and that we do not understand the simplest things around us.

The ash-tray roused a whirlwind of thoughts and images. It contained such an infinite number of facts, of events; it was linked with such an immense number of things. . . .

The meaning of all that I felt was that in one ash-tray it was possible to know all. By invisible threads the ash-tray was connected with everything in the world, not only with the present, but with all the past and with all the future. To know an ash-tray meant to know all. . . .

The first and principle impression was that the ash-tray was alive, that it thought, understood and told me all about itself. . . .

“Everything is alive,” I said to myself in the midst of these observations; “there is nothing dead, it is only we who are dead. If we become alive for a moment, we shall feel that everything is alive, that all things live, think, feel and can speak to us.” (Ouspensky 289-290)ANMUpsychedelic • Theosophy • Ouspensky

Ouspensky is seeing it further up the stream as it generalizes further and further, and connects to more and more conceptually.

Speaking Through All Things

If you listened to the smallest leaf that falls upon an autumn walk, then you would know what I am saying. . . .

Gurus have no truths that the leaves do not possess. (Roberts 602)CWSchanneled • modern • Seth

I talk to everyone. All the time. The question is not to whom do I talk, but who listens? . . .

My most common form of communication is through feeling.

Feeling is the language of the soul. . . .

I also use the vehicle of experience as a grand communicator NOTE: through metaphor. (Walsch 3)

So go ahead now. Ask me anything. Anything. I will contrive to bring you the answer. The whole universe will I use to do this. So be on the lookout. This book is far from My only tool. You may ask a question, then put this book down. But watch. Listen. The words to the next song you hear. The information in the next article you read. The story line of the next movie you watch. The chance utterance of the next person you meet. Or the whisper of the next river, the next ocean, the next breeze that caresses your ear—all these devices are Mine; all these avenues are open to Me. I will speak to you if you will listen. I will come to you if you will invite Me. I will show you then that I have always been there. (Walsch 58)CWG1channeled • modern • Walsch

Dr. Peebles: The spirit that wishes to teach and to learn is concerned with truth . . . truth as translated through the human mind. . . . The relationship between the smallest of particles is relevant and reflective of the relationship from one human soul to another, for example. And so it is impossible to avoid the philosophy of life, or the physics of life, when one quests—one wishes to understand God. There is no other search. . . . All subjects are contained therein. (Pendleton 26)TDAchanneled • modern • Pendleton

One truth is a reflection of another, an analogy for something else, and it all connects together on many different levels — spirals of truth and metaphor. The Source speaks through all things.

Communication Through Becoming

Becoming a thing through attention opens us up to see the truth coming through it.

Where the conscious attention is fixed, there the energy pours. Dear Ones, do you not see, when you want something revealed, or to be inspired in some way, do you not see, “I AM that.” The moment you say “I AM,” you set in motion this Power that has inherent within It all these faculties. It has all substance, and must take on whatsoever form the attention of the mind is fixed upon. (King 70)IADchanneled • Theosophy • Germain

When becoming someone while communicating, your rhythm matches up with theirs. see “The Nature of Entrainment” in communication.php.

Meaning and Connection

Our open attention connects us to the world around us and reveals a perfect world where everything is immediate and meaningful. It is perfect because it is beyond compare — beyond the filters of comparison, desires, and fears that could render it less than perfect.

We open and let the Pure Essence flow through our attention into our surroundings. With full acceptance, our attention becomes (takes the form of) everything we perceive, and we are reunited with ourselves (the Pure Essence) through those forms. We literally see ourselves in whatever we focus on. And this is where the meaning lies.

To see meaning (Pure Essence) in everything is to see its relation/likeness to us. Empty of searching, we see the Pure Essence everywhere and in everything. We see everything’s relationship to us and to everything else. We perceive things higher up the stream where everything is more connected. Compassion arises from this, for each person is translated back to the very same origin as us.

Holographically, then, the only reason all meaning doesn’t shine forth from everything is that a) the attention is divided, and b) we are using the essence to find something we are looking for. When we look through Specific Search filters, our experience is harnessed only for the use of that search. When focused on a desire, fear, or question, the potential relevance and meaning is limited to that. When searching for food, the only thing that has meaning is food. When searching for safety, only things that provide safety have meaning. If a thing can’t satisfy our desire, it is not even seen by the attention. We’re separated from the essence until we find what we’re looking for.

As the mind focusses (sic) on a single object, the fluctuations of thought naturally settle into the One, the Ascendant NOTE: pure consciousness. . . . The ability to cognize the full range of the meaning of the object naturally blossoms in the mind. (MSI 191-192)Ewisdom • modern, Hindu • Isham

In Focus . . . when all meaning shines forth clearly and the True Form of the Self is experienced as if it were a void, that is Ascendant Consciousness. — Patanjali

The complete experience of Ascendant Consciousness NOTE: pure consciousness is not Emptiness; rather, it is the Fullness beyond all qualities. . . .

In this state of Ascendant Consciousness, [with] any object that is held in the attention . . . its entire meaning and purpose is instantly and fully known. (MSI 193-194)Ewisdom • modern, Hindu • Isham

Meaning is something’s relevance to us. Empty of the past experiences of the physical self, the mind falls into a singular focus, in which everyone and everything we focus on shines forth with infinite meaning.

You will need only to let My Love shine from out your heart and It will illumine for you the Real meaning of all that you see. (Benner 227)ILchanneled • New Thought • Benner

As our attention becomes, so we form a connection and love, and the light of our attention lights up the meaning in whatever we focus upon.

As the full . . . value of more and more objects of perception are perceived, the boundaries of the external world gradually fall into the Infinite until there is no thing anywhere at any time that is not directly cognized as Infinite. (MSI 196)Ewisdom • modern, Hindu • Isham

[One last story] is told my W.T. Stace in a book published in 1960, Mysticism and Philosophy. His story concerns “N.M.” . . .

The room in which I was standing looked out onto the back yards of a Negro tenement. The buildings were decrepit and ugly, the ground covered with boards, rags, and debris. Suddenly every object in my field of vision took on a curious and intense kind of existence of its own; that is, everything appeared to have . . . a kind of individual life, and every object, seen under this aspect, appeared exceedingly beautiful. . . . Everything was urgent with life. . . . All things seemed to glow with a light that came from within . . . and I was filled with grief at the realization of the real situation of human beings living continuously in the midst of all this without being aware of it. Intuition as Remembering

Remembering is a form of intuition that comes through the path of memory. At the same time that we come to know something, we realize that we’ve known it before, and thus this knowing is remembering.

We ARE the Pure Essence, the light of consciousness, the Source. Higher up the stream from our physically-oriented consciousness (closer to the microgeny), we have access to all knowledge. That knowledge was available to us before we incarnated into the physical, forming a new self with its own limited memory. That is why in a wider context this knowing is remembering.

When our frequency increases, we join by degrees with our higher selves, and our wider memory gradually becomes accessible to us.

When memories of who we really are shine through, it is the most wonderful, freeing, meaningful knowledge. We remember all our friends from before this life, we remember all the love. These memories are worth more than all the knowledge we presently hold. In this state, we can remember deep truths about ourselves and the nature of reality.

In those moments during which you experience yourself being “revealed” to yourself . . . when you are greeted by crystal clarity—what has happened is that you have simply slipped into “remembering.” You are remembering what you have already created. And these rememberings can be very powerful. They can produce a personal epiphany. . . .

Your reality has shifted. It has become something else. It has expanded, grown. And it cannot be shrunk again. . . .

Walsch: “Is there any way to ‘keep remembering?’”

Yes. Act out your knowingness in every moment. Keep acting on what you know, rather than what the world of illusion is showing you. . . .

And there is another way to remember.

Cause another to remember. That which you wish for yourself, give to another. (Walsch 99-100)CWG3channeled • modern • Walsch

This higher consciousness can be tapped into with practice. Once it is found, it is no surprise. One has the sensation of “Oh, yes! I knew that all along.” (Brennan 137)HoLclairvoyant • modern • Brennan

What We Once Knew

Some of the dreams we don’t remember are because they are so far removed from the physical. I can remember these from time to time.

As babies, our physically-oriented consciousness was not developed, and we instead focused in our higher consciousness. We learned super advanced spiritual metaphysics in our dreams and visions. We knew so much then. We dreamed of it, we looked at it, remembered it, yet didn’t know its relevance to the new physical world around us.

Those primordial visions and dreams could enlighten the world, but we forget as we get older and become focused exclusively in the physical world. We forget because we find no place for such things in our daily lives. As children, we note that adults ignore them, pretend they don’t exist, and eventually we do, too, as we focus on mastering physical life. Now, older, our access to it is by remembering it.

Barriers to Intuition

Focusing on the Past

The largest barrier to intuition is the inability to let go and release into the flow. The flow is where intuition comes from, where we connect to our higher selves. We become unable to let go due to our focus on our desires, fears, and social conditions.

Things we can’t release are enduring focuses that take us out of the flow.

In reaching for understanding, the average student is but contacting the recurring memory of that which has been, instead of going into the Heart of God and bringing forth that which never has been. (King 70)IADchanneled • Theosophy • Germain

The Source only speaks through the Now. Even understanding the past comes through being present in the now.

The Boundaries of Self

Another barrier can be what we believe is real. If we limit our experience only to what is physical, then anything outside of the physical can be considered outside the scope of our conscious self.

As a species, you have grown “ego bound” . . . held in a spiritual rigidity, with the intuitive portions of the self either denied or distorted beyond any recognition. (Roberts 7)

[The ego] NOTE: physically-oriented self is not natively as rigid as it seems. Its curiosity can be of great value. . . .

Your ego will do its best to keep you in the small enclosed area of your accepted reality. If, on the other hand, your intuitions and creative instincts are allowed freedom, then they communicate some knowledge of greater dimensions to this most physically oriented part of your personality. (Roberts 12-13)SSchanneled • modern • Seth

[The ego] is fully capable of perceiving far more than Western man allows it to perceive. Fear, ignorance, and superstition limit its potentials. . . .

The ego itself cannot directly experience certain intuitions and psychological experiences, but it can experience them insofar as it can become aware of them on an intellectual basis. When training forces the ego to become too rigid and to limit its perceptions of other realities, then the intuitions will not be accepted by the ego because intuitional experience will not fit into the framework of reality that it accepts as valid.

The ego in that case will therefore fight against what it then considers an unknown threat to survival. . . . We want to bring intuitional comprehension to a point where the ego will accept it. . . . If it is trained to be flexible, it will accept such knowledge from other wider horizons of the self.

We will attempt to map this exotic country in such a way that the ego can understand what is there in terms of resources that can be used for its own benefit. (Roberts 207-208)SD&Pchanneled • modern • Seth

Touching the Larger You

Within the patterns of human experience, then, lies evidence of man’s greater ability: He rubs shoulders with his own deeper understanding whenever he remembers, say, a precognitive dream, an out-of-body—whenever he feels the intrusion or infusion of knowledge into his mind from other than physical sources. (Roberts 498)DEVF2channeled • modern • Seth

Remembering Intuition

When we’re in the flow, intuition and knowledge is coming to us quickly. World-shaking revelations come one after the other so quickly that we forget the last as soon as the next one comes. In fact, the next one can’t come unless we completely release the last one. Retaining a memory of them becomes the primary challenge.

We’re working to form bridges between our higher knowing and our regular waking consciousness.

Focusing to Remember

That servant is the one who is taking pleasure in My Speaking – such that if he stopped (to ponder) the meanings (of what I am saying) he would be taken away from Me by his thinking and reflection. LFGwisdom • Sufism • Arabi

I’m very familiar with this! Focusing on the the revelation stops the flow, taking one out of the stream. It’s a trade-off. In order to retain the learning, we have to step out of the flow long enough to get it down in words. Luckily, we can return to flow by once again releasing our focus.

Translating to Words

This is like mental cartography. So much of this is trying to describe the realizations I have in enough detail so that I can understand it later. I’m trying to build a bridge between states of mind so that my everyday mind can understand what I’m experiencing. As I go over my writings later, I remember knowing what I wrote on a deeper, more complete level, and the words don’t convey all of it. I know things from seeing them, experiencing them firsthand. Words are clumsy tools!

These messages come and go so fast. . . . It takes a lot of attention to string them out linearly. They are so far-reaching. Whole ideas can be transferred at once through metaphor.

For the few seconds I see a concept clearly, I understand it completely. Then I try with varying success to put it into words.

Remembering Nonphysical Experiences

There are dreams and experiences which are so distant and removed from anything we know that they are hard to remember, for there is very little connecting that reality to our waking reality. There needs to be some connection, otherwise it won’t reach our physically-oriented consciousness.

When in a Deep Attention state, for example, we have access to great insights, but we will only remember them if we can hold the thought long enough to write it down as clearly as possible. In this way we build a bridge to our regular self.

Our attention is never absent — it’s always somewhere. The only question is whether we are able to remember our experiences. This includes dreams and higher sense perceptions, which are always occurring, but don’t always reach our physical awareness.

I was focusing deeply on a piece of string. I went into its world, shrunken down, seeing life as the string did, experiencing another level of experience entirely. And this time I remembered where I had been when I returned. Otherwise it would have just been forgotten, attributed as me “zoning out”.
