I was with Rebecca, who became Paxston due to the circumstances. We went into a place with a big digger and a screen hanging down. What you did there was to pick a US state and view its movie. You could stop it anywhere and hit the “digger” button and it was supposed to dig and collect soil samples. Then you could go back a little later and see what artifacts they found. The Minnesota movie was the best one, they said, and had won awards.
The movie that was playing was about me and Paxston. I held the projector in my lap and moved closer to the screen to get more of it on the screen. I remember that within the movie, I asked Paxston why it seemed like we weren’t having any fun hanging out or smiling. “Were things really like that?” We appeared for a moment in my Blaine House room. Then I remember she had never been my girlfriend. Was I expecting it to be like it was with Rebecca?
I don’t remember “digging” at any point. I went in a little later, and looked at the list of names waiting to use the device. Someone had jokingly written “butthead” in one of the slots, and I volunteered to take the slot.
LATER — I was running around and playing in this weird, fun, beachy strip mall. This blonde girl appears. Smiling, she recites this funny thing I said from earlier in the dream and I’m shocked — how did she know? Then she starts kissing me a lot and I kiss her at first but then try to resist.
Projecting Movies: The projector in my lap was a rationalization of me projecting this memory-movie.
