The Switcheroo★★★

I’m at an unfamiliar college campus, visiting this on and off casual love interest. But I wasn’t the only one interested in her. There was a girl who was more seriously into her. Sometimes she’d arrive to visit our mutual interest just as I was going in, and I’d see a look of sadness on her face. Inside her room, I decided to call it off. It was too painful for the other girl.

I remember exploring her huge dorm room. The view outside was of a warmly glowing sunset. There were three maids out there, and I wondered if they could see in. We waved and it seemed they could barely see us, as they responded, trying to make out the movement they saw on our side. I complimented her room. She said I could have one, too, if I went to that college.

Later, I was at a party, playing a social game with a lot of people in a dimly lit dining room. The game involved moving around and blocking shots. It was like soccer, but I don’t recall a ball. I felt like we all had powers and we had to avoid the others’ powers. The room was thick with decor and things, the table seemingly fully set at times. I had a thing for this one dark-skinned woman in a tight, dark green dress. I ended up playing the game in her vicinity. There was another person I liked, who I had a history with — a light-skinned woman of a similar height. The game progressed, and some people got more engaged.

When the game ended, some people began laying down on the tables around which the game was played. The two I liked were on one table, and I went to them. We began to touch, get intimate. I didn’t see much of their faces at this time. The dark-skinned one was receptive to sex, and the light-skinned one helped make it happen. We did so at an angle where I couldn’t see her face. It felt very good. I recall that she left afterward, but then returned to hang out and walk with me. I was glad of it.

As we left the dinner pavilion, she flashed a picture of how she saw me afterwards, and I saw myself as a BIG thought-form lumberjack walking around. It was like a strange, stylized puppet of me. Someone else responded with humor that the way I saw her afterwards was this, and flashed a picture of her, but with her waist and legs much expanded, also in a similar puppet style, but seen from the back. These images appeared in the receding pavilion, getting smaller as we walked away. Lightly amused, I returned my attention to her.

We talked as we walked through the lit up dark city. After a while, she asked me my name. I was a little shocked, I was certain she knew it. I said, well I was a lumberjack, clearly, and gave her my name. I saw her more clearly now, and she didn’t appear to be who I remember. She asked if I recognized her, and I said I didn’t. I noticed someone else walking with us, a bodyguard or something. I wondered if she was famous. She said her name was Sylvia — definitely not the person I had thought it was. She said she was a famous Mexican actress, and she flashed a ton of pictures of unfamiliar movie posters and things in front of me — like all her roles, with pictures, text — a whole wall of it. I glanced around it briefly. Huh. The bodyguard showed me a scan of her, which revealed a little baby in her uterus. The date was in the past by a few years, I pointed out, and he scrambled to find the right picture to convince me she was pregnant. They had different dates on them. She offered to pay me $100,000 a year to raise the child.

“In the next part,” said the announcer, “we’d see. . . . ” A bunch of scenes flashed before me, of chaos raising the kid, of me as Eddie Murphy bumbling around with a huge hat stuck over my eyes, flashes of tons of scenes of what was coming in the next segment. I realized I was apparently black. As it went on, I thought that it was revealing too much. I saw a quick upcoming scene where she came to take the child away and I fought to prevent it.

I awoke to Boomi scratching at the crate. It was 3 AM.

An Authentic Story: This rote isn’t translated to my terms at all. I’m a black guy, and I don’t recognize any of the other characters, except through backstory that comes with the rote.

It’s an astral version of a physical story. There’s sex, money, and children involved, but it includes astral games and telepathic thought form projections. It’s as if it’s written by an astral inhabitant who has become used to some of the ways the astral works.

Flashing Images: In this case our communication is in physical terms (talking) but we flash humorous images to each other as a part of it. The images seem spatially connected to the pavilion where we’d just been intimate — where the impressions were made.

Backstory: This untranslated rote comes with all the backstory I need to understand it.

Story Rotes: This is a fictional multi-part rote created by someone in the astral, complete with an advertisement for the next part of the story.
