Calling on Ed★★
January 24, 2026

So there I was, asleep in my waterbed in Blaine House. That puts me at age 10-16. I decided to do an experiment. I focused on my friend Ed from college. He very soon appeared at the side of the bed in a semi-transparent body. As we talked, my perspective remained laying down on the bed, turned sideways, looking at his legs. I reached my arm out of bed and patted his calf. It felt solid. He knelt down a bit, and I shifted to look through his body, and I could clearly see the lights from the landing through his body. Yep! Semi-transparent. I never saw his face, though. I was talking with him, purposely saying things that, if he remembered, would prove that he was here, communicating with me. The trouble is, after this dream I kept dreaming for hours and don’t recall what it was.

I ended up following him back to where he was, which was a warm, coastal college town. He spoke of it as if it was our college, but this wasn’t Oberlin. He took me to his favorite little hole-in-the-wall restaurant.

Following Someone: After making contact with Ed (or someone I took to be Ed), I followed the connection back to the coastal college town he was previously focused in.
