Dream Journal

I was falling asleep and inexplicably seeing vivid horrible visions behind my closed eyes. I was sick with norovirus but was starting to improve, so I don’t know why this was happening. It was so unusual, I watched with some grim fascination. At one point I opened my eyes, and Rebecca was asleep, facing me. I saw a gridwork of semitransparent squares overlaying my vision, each with a sort of creepy hazy moving wrinkled pattern in it, such that when I looked at Rebecca’s face, it appeared deeply wrinkled and shaded in a creepy way. It was as if this little pattern would apply itself to make whatever I looked at appear horrible.
