Dream Journal

From vividly dreaming, I open my eyes. My entire visual field is filled with this pattern of “cells” of concentric, looping, or back and forth lines. The centermost one looks like a fingerprint. It’s most visible upon the white pillowcase in front of me, less so on the darker blankets around it, but still there. It’s constantly changing, like the common scribbly animation style that’s never still but always shifting between a few scribbled frames. The lines themselves can become thicker and darker, or thinner and smoother, or crystallize into panels with various tones.

This provides a field of patterns we interpret into dream experiences, forms we project upon to form the images of dreams.
