Caught Cheating★★

Much earlier in the night, I was hanging out in a mall in Minnesota. Word had gotten out that I had been cheating on Chrissie. I remembered “damn, that’s right, every time I traveled to visit an old girlfriend or a college, I pretty much always ended up sleeping with someone”. There was a bunch of people from my high school chasing me, kicking me, shouting at me. “But wait,” I reasoned, “this was not cheating on Chrissie, since we were long broken up, but Rebecca. Is that really true?” I wondered. “No, that was all in dreams. I never cheated.” Now, rather than believing I deserved this abuse, I knew I didn’t and pushed back at my attackers.

Meanwhile Rebecca had a dream that I had a new girlfriend.

Girlfriend In Context: In the timeframe of dream — being in high school in Minnesota — the girlfriend I’m cheating on translates to Chrissie, my girlfriend at the time.

Astral or Physical?: I needed to remember if these memories were astral or physical, as it makes a big difference. Rather than getting caught in the drama, I refocus on my broader self context and am able to correctly determine that these were astral memories.
