Dream Journal

It began as an open field in the hills, viewed from above. As I watched, a large tent was rapidly constructed, to form a sort of indoor event venue. There was a main room with a stage. The center was filled with hundreds of folding chairs on the earth and grass. There were vendors of food and various things. It had sort of an indoor carnival vibe. . . . Wandering on, I eventually started wondering where Holly was. I’m not sure on retrospect she’d ever been there, but in the dream I was sure I’d lost her. I became quite panicked, calling her name loudly as I went around. But then I heard her voice calmly say “Papa” from outside the dream. I heard it from a different space and moved my focus there. It was a semi-dark, empty, spherical-seeming space, with nothing to be seen, and no sign of the dream I was just in. It was a stepping-state to the waking state, and from there I left the unpleasant dream behind.

It’s likely she picked up on my anxiety directed towards finding her and mentally spoke my name to let me know she was alright.
