Nightly Vacations★★
September 14, 2024

Rebecca and I were on vacation, going from place to place, spending nights at Airbnb rooms. This is very much like something we’d do in waking life. We set out on our way to the next location. We set off separately, on motorcycles. When she caught up to me, the motorcycles locked in position next to each other, then became a car. We arrived at a parking lot somewhere and parked. Someone across the parking lot waved us over. We backed over there in the car. He said “Hey, don’t I know you?” I didn’t recognize him, so I said no, and we drove back and re-parked.

I remember driving around looking for our Airbnb house. We found it, and went inside. It was a big house with lots of rooms. After talking to the person ahead of us, the owner enthusiastically welcomed us. She said to Rebecca, “Look how cute you are!” and Rebecca didn’t respond at all. She told us where our room was and we walked through a bunch of other rooms to get to it.

I remember seeing at one point a detailed overview map of this area. It was a cute little city. There was a main road which kept curving to the right along this river.

It’s wild — we just vacation in the astral every night. Exploring, socializing, seeing things, having adventures.

Locking in Relative Position: Note how the rationalization changes to something more appropriate once we’re locked in position together.

A Better Fit: Once we’re traveling together, side by side, a car makes more sense.

Holiday Road: Without the responsibilities of physical life, we are free to do anything we enjoy in the dream state.
