Dream Journal
September 6, 1998
I’m hanging out with three guys who I don’t know in waking life but are friends dreamside. I started this music thing — it came almost fully formed into my head with a fantastic beat. I somehow broadcasted the song as a whole outside myself. With my attention I added new lines and rhythms to it. The music was so good I would have bought the album in a minute.
The four of us danced and skipped around this simple house with open windows and doors. It was in a neighborhood similar to ours. We were making a lot of noise, and then I heard a cop car say over their loudspeaker “4-3-2-1 Please cease your activities.” We got a little scared and went to the brown cop car in the driveway next door. In it were 4 guys and one invited us to come play our music at the party tomorrow at 8. He said it was in the yellow house over there, and pointed. I saw (projected?) Banana House past a square yellow house. I said ”Banana House?” He looked kinda confused. I didn’t recall the time or date and asked them as they were leaving. It was hard to pick up but I mostly got it.
My friends and I went back inside. I suggested getting a band together but I ran into many excuses — they were busy writing papers that were due soon and other such reasons.
Dream Friends: These guys were likely students, talking about papers being due.
Inner Music: I’ve done this a few times in dreams — the music follows my imagination instantly, varying in the just the ways I want at just the time I want to make them into the ultimate dynamic songs that I would love.
And apparently I can broadcast it out into the general astral world around me — even to be heard by people I’m not meaning to include.
Expectation Projection: When he points to a yellow house, I can’t help but imagine up Banana House, which appears behind it. When I mention Banana House, he obviously doesn’t know what I’m talking about.
