The black guy who frequents Irene’s is sleeping next to me in my Blaine House bed — a thing I found quite strange. My bed had white sheets, the breeze was blowing, and the room was fully decorated. The guy was singing great music with me, soulful and inspired. He suggested a song, “Suzanne,” and hummed it, then called it too sappy. For some reason I thought he meant the Jackson 5’s song “ABC” and decided to do it. His girlfriend appeared in a prison beyond the brick wall next to us and began singing with us. I started singing one part and I was gonna let him take the next part, but it became the main part and he prompted me semi-sadly with the words. It was a love song and she was so loving singing it with me. I tried to redirect her affections to him but couldn’t remember his name. I told him I’d make it up to him and fix it.
Then I remember swimming in a secret world in Mario 64. It was in an underwater supermarket with lots of eels. I had to swim through 10 rings. I guess this was in my room — he was watching me play, impressed.
References: Irene's is a cafe in Oberlin where I worked.
Someone Special: Here someone important to my visitor appeared in a telepathic window that I could also see. These windows appear to be objective to more than just the person being thought of. It’s likely because he and I were connected at the time.
Video Game Break: It looks like my reverie subdream of playing a video game is visible to this guy, as he’s impressed by my skills. This is likely due to our ongoing connection. In an earlier part of the dream, I could see his girlfriend appearing in a telepathic window.
Unexpected Slumber Party: I’m in Bath, England at the time, so this might be a local person who reminds me of the regular at Irene’s. My Blaine House bed represents the bed I’m currently sleeping in. This is likely a projected-over experience in the near realm.
We’re like old friends having a sleepover.
