Girlfriends Past and Present★★
May 28, 1994

Bethany’s waiting for me in the parking lot in a yellow car. I go to the wrong parking lot, and run through the rain to see her. I was so happy that she just showed up in Marshall to see me, surprising me.

Bethany and I are running around campus. We talk about having kids and are really cuddly. We have a good time. Angie calls and I have to be really sneaky and I feel bad. I’m trying to keep Bethany from seeing Angie and vice versa.

Two Visitors: I had dated Angie on and off over the last year. Then Bethany and I got back together briefly and then broken up again (it was a long-distance relationship). So here they both visit me in the near-realm on campus.

These dream visits happen frequently in long-distance relationships.

One Transport, One Window: Here we see two levels of communication interaction at the same time. Bethany’s strong thoughts of me bring her to my campus in person. Angie’s weaker thought of me showed up as her “calling” me, which is a telepathic window. She largely remains where she is.

Note how when Angie calls, I want to keep Bethany from “seeing” her — showing that there is a visual aspect to Angie reaching out to me.
