Context: Maggie was going to be driving Jamie and me to soccer practice the next day. Henry is Maggie's son, who is about Jamie's age.

I dreamed this long dream of driving around with Maggie, Henry, and Jamie. A dog appeared that we had to rescue and bring back to the car, and my cat Trixie was there, too. At one point, my Dream Self made some adjustment to the dream that it thought quite normal but I was surprised to see that it caused TWO Trixies to appear. I wish I could remember what it was.

In waking life the next day, on the drive to soccer practice, I mentioned my dream to Maggie, and she asked if I noticed that their dog was with us in the back seat. I hadn’t — I had no idea they ever brought him along!

A Change From the Routine: I always drove us to soccer, but the car wasn’t going to be available the next day so it was unusual that Maggie was going to take us. I apparently was thinking about that while asleep and it inspired a dream, which I daresay revealed a true element about what was coming the next day. Perhaps this was due to a telepathic communication from Maggie about her intention to bring her dog, or maybe I peered ahead and saw this inconsequential detail.

Upon returning to read this dream three years later, I note that we now have a dog which is the same size and has the same black and white coloring as Trixie. Maybe one of the Trixies was our new dog Boomi?
