Dream Journal

I’m in a cabin in the woods with Rebecca. I’d been visiting with Jessie for a while (we saw her yesterday in person). I hear a sound at the bottom of the cabin door, and go to investigate. A cartoony-looking bluish purple hedgehog head pokes through the lower crack of the door. I push it back out.
There’s also a thick, green dog out there. The dog is not cartoony — it looks like someone dyed a normal dog a dull green color. It pushes the door open a little. I push it closed and put my whole weight behind it. The dog pushes again and the door opens as if I offer no resistance. I’m stunned. The dog is calm and just walks toward the bedroom. I say, “What is this, a.. a..” and I’m trying to think of the name of the sword from Alice in Wonderland that can’t be stopped. As the dog heads toward the bedroom, I jump in front of it and hold the door closed with all my weight. Same thing — the dog just pushes right through, no effort at all. He makes a circuit of the room and then comes back out. I think of the name — “What is this, a vorpal dog?” I say to Rebecca. Then it exits the front door. I go to examine the front door and it just falls off its hinges, as if it’s not connected at all.
Outside I see a very pink, small, round pig coming. I pull the door back into place and the pig comes right in anyways, ambling along at an unchanging speed like the dog. The whole thing is so comical that Rebecca and I start laughing and laughing. I begin laughing out loud in bed and Rebecca wakes me up, thinking I was whimpering. Funny!
Unable to Block Others: It seems that you can’t interfere with another entity’s movement in the dream world. Desire, intention, or habit appears to be leading these creatures on their course and my attempt is laughably useless.
