Dream Journal
October 18, ??
I’m with Rebecca in the Atlanta Tower — the concrete multi-level transporter, up above the college with the auditorium. Around the college is a city. Everything is over-extended, like soft cheese extruded through a square hole. It’s the heart of Atlanta. We’re at the top of the tower when we’re nuked. The nuke hits not far off. The explosion is a perfect grey-brown sphere with a smooth exterior, reflecting white light. I jump behind the couch with Rebecca, hold her tight, tell her I love her, and think “who knew the 18th would be the end?” The blast rolls over us. It’s like a continuous painful wave of static rolling through me. It hurts in the heart. Then it’s over and I’m surprised to find myself alive. I figure the radiation poisoning will eventually kill me. I consider calling someone to say goodbye but decide instead to try to get out of there. While trying to get to the car, another nuke hits and we dive behind some furniture again. Afterwards, we decide to try to take shelter in the auditorium but they don’t want us in there. It’s too crowded or too dangerous. Finally we get to a car and drive off.
Astral War: I’ve had many dreams of being hit by nukes. Of course I survive them, but the shock of the blast can be intense. The surroundings are also never affected.
Nuclear Explosion: My expectation of pain makes it come true.
Tower Transporters: Here I refer to it as a transporter, as all these towers appear to be — a spiral through which one raises frequency.
