The Shape Shifting Game★★★
September 29, ??
Southwest State University (SSU)

It all starts in art class. I finish up a great project, then hang out with a friend. We play this game where I would hold out my hands, arms straight forward, then randomly change everything but my face to that of different girls at SSU, and by looking at my new hands, I’d guess “large,” “skinny,” “tall,” etc. The friend would laugh and say “Yup, go on.”

Then this art teacher bursts in, furious, looking for me. I’m facing the far wall and have the body of a heavy-set black girl. The teacher looks around and leaves. I try to change back, but CAN’T! I go to the bathroom and decide to stay with this form, hiding my new breasts with my jacket and hiding my hips with sweats. I leave? And come back? And discover I’m male again, so I look in the mirror and I’m back to being me. The whole SSU art department is after me, though they’re nobody I know. [various teachers try in various ways to trap or kill me]

Sick of this dream, I wake up voluntarily.

Check the date here — I have two very different dates listed. This was probably more like ‘92 — ‘94

References: SSU was the first college I went to.

Lucidity and Dream Magic: It’s not every day you decide to play a game involving switching your body to that of other people. So, I must be focused in my dream self. Why did I have trouble changing back? Maybe I became attached to the girl’s body because it shielded me from the attacking art teachers. Or maybe I just thought “wouldn’t that suck if I couldn’t turn back?”

Shape-Changing Game: This is a game I likely played with another dreamer.
