Osiris the Dancer
August 17, 2010 @ 3:30 AM

I’m at what feels like a very unique, exclusive party gathering in a small brick building in the back lot of an abandoned larger brick building. It’s like a repurposed factory. Perhaps this was a small house once. Now it’s home to this very interesting gathering of people. It’s modern, young people, and it’s a party atmosphere. We’re all dressed in middle eastern or Persian clothing. I was brought there by a friend who tells me that there’s a dancer called Osiris that is just incredible.

There’s one part where the guys are sitting on these long fabric cloths in two lines across from each other, facing each other. We’re like two friendly tribes, as each side is dressed differently. I’m among the tribe wearing the olive green silk bodysuits. There’s a competition of some sort with several parts. One involves sitting in cross-legged position and then rising to standing position. The leader of our tribe does it immediately and everyone’s very impressed. Then I do it shortly afterwards. There’s a set of ridges and a groove under our long cloth that make it super easy for our tribe — a totally hidden advantage. As the others discover this, there is much hilarity. There’s a spirit of open laughter and celebration to everything, and everybody joins in the laughing. The windows are partially shaded but it’s a sunny realm.

Soon we are joined by the dancers — girls who are dressed in Persian style, in flowing silk, several who are topless. They are doing group circle dances in the center of the room, very close to us. Most of the men have dispersed or are otherwise preoccupied, so there are only a few watching, including myself. One with long red hair catches my eye and asks me if I want to join the dance. I become shy and say no, that I wouldn’t know what to do. Then she steps back from the group, regards me with a smile, and says that she has someone special for me. She leaves and then comes back shortly with Osiris. Osiris is gorgeous, dressed in a white topless outfit that had form-fitting pants and ribbon-like fabric flowing off the arms. Her skin is slightly darker than the other dancers. She comes up to me and there is this moment of unspoken permission and then a blur.

When I come to, I’m lying in the same position, and the party is over. I look down and I’m completely covered in drawings made and colored in with wet, sticky white chalk. My jeans are like shorts, reaching just up above my knees. I fold over the edge to see the inside and the same drawings are underneath the fabric in reverse! The chalk drawings are on my chest as well — everywhere I can see. It’s all in white, except for little edges of pink and blue. The drawings on my legs appear for the most part to be a pattern of finely drawn buttocks and thighs laid across each other, and then colored in. What had happened during that blur with Osiris? I get up and go to the door. It’s my friend, who is anxiously looking for me. He looks like Ari’s assistant Lloyd from Entourage.

Rationalized Aura: Were the chalk drawings my aura? Why was it all lit up and visible after the experience with Osiris? I remember the chalk being wet and sticky as if freshly applied, like body paints.

Osiris the Dancer: Osiris is a powerful and beautiful soul. These powerful souls can have intense effects on people. If only I could remember what happened during the blur!
