I’m at Oberlin, looking for a dorm room, and I run into Wayne from SSU. His parents are walking behind him. We talk, and his parents give us some space. We go inside a building on north campus, and he says I can stay with him. We go in a closet and he tries to kiss me, but I stop him. Outside we find a ton of people laying down in the grass, in contact with each other, watching the sky. The sky is a wild sight with planets and bright lights. But every moment is a joy on Earth One. We live on Earth Two. Earth Three is constant war. I return to Earth Two, so as not to be missing for Rebecca’s birthday tomorrow (the upcoming day).
Eventually I get involved in this crazy Reno 911 adventure with a gun fight. My gun does heavy damage to floors and walls. I use a flame thrower to start this rich residence on fire. Then we return to the city. I throw my incriminating documents into the dumpster, then realize that the feds are waiting in the dumpster. Junior and I decide we’ll all go to Earth One. We find a long pole attached to the side of a building and get excited — that’s how we can cross over. We climb it and as we do, gravity shifts and reverses. After 15 feet or so, we’re seemingly climbing down toward the ground again along a pillar. We dismount onto Earth One. The joyous feeling of well-being returns. I’m not sure, but maybe this is where the sky thing happens.
References: I went to SSU and Oberlin for college. Junior is a character on the TV show Reno 911.
Incoming Birthday: Here I know I need to get back to Earth Two for Rebecca’s upcoming birthday.
Three Earths: It’s an interesting idea that there are these three versions of earth with strange ways to travel between them. It seems like these correspond to higher and lower astral realms.
Pole to Pillar: This is about the weirdest transition I’ve ever seen. By climbing upwards, we’ve ascended to a higher astral realm, which is evident by the happy feelings there. But why is it upside-down from the perspective we came from?
Note how the pole we’re ascending becomes a pillar we’re descending on Earth One — a transformation while retaining the same shape.
