Building the Atlanta Tower★★★
September 29, 2000
The Atlanta Tower and College • The Dream Station
The elevator

I’m in a concrete, domed school-like building. I’ve been here before many, many times. There are two elevators. I know a secret, though. It’s because I’m in Ed’s Room. I take the elevator to floor 12, make some sideways adjustment, and then go all the way to the top. Where do I end up? The Atlanta Tower. There’s another student about to do his film project. That interfered with my latest trip so I decide to wait around. While waiting, I meet Brigit, this girl who has this huge living space with a forest of 10-foot tall pink molten muffin-top things. She has photo books of her and four friends in attention-getting outfits. There are walkways made of chairs and junk, and I slip on one on the way out. I want to help fix it.

I’m building the Atlanta Tower, or I’m a child inside it as my parents are building it. There’s a sense of it being something I don’t want Dan’s help with anymore. It’s being built on many fronts at once, and they’re all unfinished. There are lots of people working, and there’s sheetrock lying about. I feel like I’m out of money. It’s huge, like a mountaintop, up by the birds, all covered in trees. Sometimes the buildings were merged into grassy hills.

The Atlanta Tower
Half hill, half building

At the Atlanta Tower I have free reign to go wherever I want. Upon discovering an outer porch without any railing, I become upset at a Rox character, who seems to not be actively working on it.

In the last part of the story, I’m with an attractive orange-haired girl and decide to pick up Brigit. I passed through her family’s school area earlier. Now I drive to her house. It’s similar in form to the school but wooden and shaded by trees. The left opening is a car port. Everything has a sensation of height, airiness, a feeling of uplinks/elevators to higher places.

In another elevator at the domed school, I accidentally go down instead of up. There are three sections of three buttons on the wall panel. The buttons are all dirty, broken, and scratched. I don’t want to go down at all so I quickly make the elevator go back up, then I exit.

References: Ed's Room is what we called my high school counselor's office.

The Atlanta Tower: This might be the earliest mention of this as “The Atlanta Tower”. Could this be the actual construction of some part of The Atlanta Tower? The college clearly already exists — probably an extension of Georgia Tech if I got the location correct in a later dream. Atlantic Station, a 138-acre commercial and housing development was being constructed at this time in the very same area, and was probably having an influence on the astral here as well.

The Dream Station: I refer to this concrete, domed building elsewhere as the Dream Station. It’s a base station for an elevator to locations in the higher astral (or at least the astral tower on my crown chakra).
