Field of Beasts★★
March 27, 2000

I’m skiing — the sensation of movement and flight rationalized. There’s a half-pipe and people are trying to go down one side and up and out the other.

Later, I’m out exploring in these fields that are divided up into squares like sod fields. They have a light dusting of white snow. Suddenly this bear runs up to me and bear-hugs me from one side and this raccoon hugs me from the other. It’s a very warm sensation. Then this host of creatures that I was previously scared of comes out of the woods and runs towards me. I run back through the fields I came from and into this building. They chase me, and are joined by a big fleshy ogre. I’m with Rebecca now and we flee down hallways. We get to the car and quickly pull out. We drive through the narrow lots and smash into another car. I think to myself “No, that’s no good. Let’s try again.”

So I’m back at the first hallway in the building and cause the hallway between myself and the oncoming group to glow with hot yellow light. Then I cause a tornado to appear in the middle. But it doesn’t stop the fleshy ogre, who runs right through it. I flee, then change my tactic. I let him catch me. He stops short, huffing, and says “I wondered if you could make me a CD.” I said I would, then left.

Fwwieend?: Well this is odd. Was this just some big misunderstanding? It all starts off with a friendly bear hug. And then the ogre just wants me to make him a CD.

Double Take: Unexpected!

I’m Skiing Again: I find myself once again rationalizing myself skiing to explain my smooth, fast movement along the ground.

Back Home: Scared of these adorable forest creatures, I run back “through the fields where I came from and into this building.” Here I run into Rebecca, who joins the escape. I’ve just returned from the dream to the bedroom!
