Very revealing! The Dark Tower is like a multilevel dungeon. Levels 1-9 are full of tons of weird monsters. What was I doing there? Looking for Bethany. I remember being in the outside neighborhood — there’s a platform above the trees in the back where you can look out and there are many stairs to get up and down. The woods are alive but dark and dry and the foliage is patchy. The trees and dorms are all tall. Anyways I return to the Dark Tower and “jump” to level 6 accidentally. I needed to go to level 9. So I slip through the semi-darkness past swarming monsters and climb the stairs three levels to level 9. There I find Bethany. I try to get her attention. I have a terrible cold, but it gets her sympathy.

Going to the Dark Tower often occurs at 3-4 AM.
