Dream Journal

Charred Washington★★
October 2, 1999

While sleeping in, I’m dreaming of living high on a cloud-level cliff side over Washington DC and it gets hit by a nuclear bomb. The whole dream is centered on the aftermath — charred remains of the city, telling people about it, etc.

I wake up and find Rebecca scanning pictures of the atomic bomb dome from Hiroshima, and she says she had been for about half an hour, the approximate length of my dream. I picked up her thoughts!

Picking Up Signals: I picked up on her waking thoughts about our recent visit to Hiroshima and the Peace Memorial Park. It had a strong emotional impact on us, as you might imagine, and these thoughts carried some weight.
