The Lizard Clock★★★

I was dreaming that two lizards were coming down the wall. I must have opened my eyes at this point, and saw another one coming down the wall in the dark — a black one with a bright orange head. I began to panic, then awoke, and found myself staring at the red digital clock across the room. What a total transformation! The interpretation field accepts sensory impressions as a basis for what it creates, stretching it as much as necessary to fit the context.
Perception Within Context: It’s amazing how visual information can be warped by context and expectation into being anything in the world — from a digital clock to the head of a lizard. I’ve also had experiences like this many times with psychedelics.
The “interpretation field” is where sensory input is transformed to fit into a particular context. This includes the context of an expectation, desire, or fear.
