Primordial Jungle Continent★★★
May 10, 1998
Schmelzer’s House

I’m flying high up in the atmosphere. I can see all these dry, treeless continents and then one floating above the others with huge untouched jungle forests. There is someone with me, flying, and it appears to be Dan. Everything below has a whitish glow to it. We are at what seems to be the top of a wall with no roof. On the other side are the tops of the trees of the jungle forest. We comment on the extra-tall lighter green trees — something we’re familiar with. I fly to a tree and grab on. I look down and become very afraid to let go. What follows is a scary descent, wherein my fear kept blinding me to my weightlessness. At the bottom I found myself among a group of friends. There had been some velociraptor attacks and we knew if we all held on to each other, we’d act as one large entity and overcome them. We held on when two attacked and the theory held true.

Then later on I’m on Cloud Drive near the Schmelzers’ house and two wolves come from the woods. A friend had said he feared the wolves. . . . Hey this is just a remake of the last scene! I must have awoken and then returned to the same scene with a different context! But this time there was a black wolf and a white one and they were very friendly. This Elfquest story took over and we wandered and waited and watched through the trees.

References: Blaine House is on Cloud Drive and the Schmelzers were our neighbors. Elfquest is a graphic novel series.

The High Wall: I’m flying here without rationalizations — no plane or car — so this isn’t a sky highway. But either there is something there or I’m rationalizing something for me to be standing on when we stop. I tend to think there’s a boundary of some sort here, since it’s treeless on one side and a jungle forest on the other.
