Volcano Survival★★★

I was sitting in front of a board-game featuring a volcanic island. I hit two fire marbles together and a big flaming meteor descended (from the marbles or me) into the volcano. I hit the stones more rapidly together to get the volcano to erupt and it did. My concern for a group of little people on the rocks brought me down into the scene and we built defenses. It was all play — a game.
Gateways In: Becoming concerned with the little board-game people sucked me into their world where I helped them to defend themselves from the eruption I caused.
The Gods on Olympus: Consider the Greek stories of the gods on Mount Olympus, looking down and playing games with the lives of humans, sometimes going down and interacting directly with the humans as well. This is where that comes from!
In dreams we play games just like this, for fun and drama! We sit above the miniature scene, looking down from above, manipulating events, causing trouble. And then our own concern draws us into the scene, into the danger we’ve just created.
