Bass in the Basement★★
February 2, 1998
The basement is compressed

During a nap: I was in a house with Rebecca’s family. I was on the main level, playing music on this big black TV-like thing. I had the “ultra bass” button pushed in. We went downstairs to the basement to eat in the room underneath the TV thing. It was so incredibly loud — playing a loud distorted buzz of a tune: high_-__--_-_-_high then silence, then a repeat, as if only it were playing every other measure. My senses were dull and I couldn’t think straight on the basement level. To get back upstairs to turn it off, I had to push myself along the floor. I was the size of the passageway, as if the basement were a more compressed, lower frequency world, a third of the height of the main level.

Astral Compression: Just as some dreams are expansive and freeing, some are constricting and horrible, like this. Low frequency tones were exaggerated, too. Quite different from the bells and pure tones heard on higher realms.
