Mario World Landscape Distortion★★★
September 11, 1997
The gravity well gathers up buildings around it

I’m in this huge landscape and it’s this advanced Mario game. There are big blue mountains that can squish up and hide under other mountains. One very specific effect I saw was that there was one mountain that was under this village. When there it was like a village all packed in on a hill. But then it would spread out farther and farther as it flattened until there was a great distance between each structure.

Spacial Distortion: This almost seems like a lesson in dream space. It’s not just a hill, but a concentration of space.

The Tower is on the top of a tall, steep, round-topped hill, and the Great Hills has a number of the same kinds of hills around it. There’s very often a journey to the top of hills like these. Space itself is curved, and gravity pulls towards the center, as if it were one hemisphere of a planet.

Perhaps this is how a specific search or psychic cyst (wrapping up negative experiences) pulls everything else towards it. More and more of our mental space and thus thought is drawn into its “hill”. It beads up, and becomes a filter through which we see our environment. Due to this gathering of space, light doesn’t just pass through it, it reflects the image (whatever it desires or fears) outwards as a specific search. If this is true, it shows how these focuses gather up mental space, and holographically filter out experience.
