Dream Journal

The latest dream first: I was put in a group of three to do a project of some sort. We were supposed to be acting like ET. One person from each group would get up and do a little monologue in front of a camera. One group was badass ET, beating up this guy who didn’t feel hurt by the blows.
I was playing with this mini powerbook the whole time and not paying attention. Then I heard my name and I was next. So I started writing notes and then our group got together. There were three of us. I didn’t know them but they were familiar, perhaps from the lava dream? Anyways I slightly awoke in the physical but I really wanted to perform so I fell back asleep and went back to the dream.
Of course the scene was different. The whole class and camera were inside a stationary car and we were outside on the sidewalk. I crossed my eyes, bit my lip, and smiled in a funny way. I said, “This is Exphlon broadcasting on channel 8. This channel is silence. . . . This channel is also silence. . . . ” But they weren’t recording. Then this other guy from my group wanted to perform, too. I was pleased. He was tall, with black hair. We exited and entered again. “Welcome Earthlinks!” I said, then focused in, uncrossed my eyes, and peered through the window blankly. Everyone was laughing. My group-mate spoke, then I did and it was all spontaneous and very funny. I ended with this “You are copying everything from us, earthlinks! You have pants, a shirt, Slorboz at every corner, and lights in the sky. But one thing you have forgotten! When we realized there was life on other planets, we made big free love structures to celebrate. If you want to come, dial 669-4plex73.” Then we walked away and down the alley by the lava block.
Tomfoolery: What do we do in dreams? The same things we’d do in waking life. Here I’m at a fun social gathering, with people putting on funny skits.
Awakening Scene Change: Here a brief awakening from the dream leads to a scene change when I return, though the characters and plot continue on unaffected. Interestingly, the classroom appears to have shrunk to the size of a car.
