Rebecca and I and two others are in this forested mountain winter wonderland scene outside the Berkeley Systems HQ playing the quiz game You Don’t Know Jack. There’s a wall behind us with buzzers, viewscreens, and a pillar in front with Berkeley Systems radio coming out. So we were playing a game or two and we kept switching positions and getting confused. Then the host went inside and this family took my spot. Eventually he returned and asked some question about bodily liquid volume. He pointed out four spots of carved-out snow. We had to pick which one our bodily liquid could fill. As he explained it, a kid ran over to the snow. I hit my buzzer but then got distracted watching the kid jump in the snow and then roll down a hill. I was watching it on a monitor and soon I had been sucked through and was there rolling down the hill, too.
Then I discovered that a ski trail was nearby when this older kid jumped onto it. I found myself all decked out in ski gear and jumped on the trail, thinking it’d be faster to go down and come up the ski lift than to sidestep all the way back up. So I skied down. On the way, I let go of my poles and they slid downhill with me but standing on end and sort of spiraling! I got the poles back. The trail ahead seemed to be more wood than hill. It had rickety jumps and there were sections where I weren’t sure if I should jump up or go under. And then at the bottom the snow was all melted and the wooden trail just ended covered in towels. No ski lift. There was a small lake or pool with the bottom and shore made of stones, and next to it was a sign saying “closed for summer.” I suddenly became very concerned about finding out which towel was mine. Soon I realized that a ton of people had gathered around the pool and were happily waiting for something. Then I saw Rebecca coming from around the people looking for me. I told her my plan to take the ski lift. She came down because she was worried about me. Then I fell asleep.
