Dream Journal

I was hanging out with Rebecca and this guy. We climbed this big oak tree and threw sticks at a small abandoned house. To our amusement, they stuck upright in the roof. Then I got really scared of heights and the guy started screaming that a cheetah was stealing his lunch.
The scene instantly changed to the upper floor of a library. He couldn’t catch the cheetah, who was chewing on and slowly engulfing his sandwich. Knowing that I understood cats, I set off to catch him. The cheetah came to where I was and tried to dart past but I leapt on him and rode him. He was still chewing as he ran. However, my weight didn’t slow him down. So I rubbed his nose and steered his head into the bookcases and eventually he slowed down and stopped near Rebecca and the guy. He had finished the sandwich but was now really affectionate to us.
Treetop Transformation to Upstairs: Scene transformations sometimes keep some important or perhaps defining aspects, like being high up.
Super Weird: The stick-throwing game is weird enough, but the cheetah eating someone’s lunch from out of nowhere in another scene entirely? Wonderfully weird.
OMG Cheetah!: This other fellow totally changed the course of my dream. I was pulled by his emotion into his dream context and drawn into the action going on there. It’s possible he started out dreaming he was in the library, throwing sticks out the window. Or he could have gone into this reverie dream while in the tree.
