Aha! The repair shop! Driving is always dangerous in dreams. So the car was bashed into the back of this other car at a gas station’s repair shop. But the next time I looked at it, the car was wrapped around a pole, suspended in midair. The situation got worse each time I turned back to it and I kept going back and replaying the scenes before to determine how this had happened. Eventually I created a reality where the original crashed car was the result.
Memories and Time: Here’s a great example of time in dreams. We can “go back” to see what caused an event, but when we do, we are actively creating it in the present while understanding that event as having been in the past. It’s like an explanation rationalization but with a fully-imagined scene.
Our creativity is in play wherever we are focused, no matter what “time” we’re focused in.
