[I’m at a Tori concert in the Westwood Elementary gym]
I imagined my hands moving along with hers, playing the notes of “Horses” or “Flying Dutchman”. She started making lots of mistakes, then stopped playing. Now I was back in the crowd. This elementary kid laid his head on my belly and that was okay. He started biting it and that wasn’t. I moved up close to the stage and he came with me. Tori noticed this coupon I had for a free plane ticket to Florida. I playfully tried to sell it to her but she didn’t want to play and I felt foolish. I just gave it to her.
Next thing I remember, we’re on a full-sized airplane in the gym. Ah! The plane to Florida became real! I started driving it but didn’t know how. We were now taxiing around the gym. I was trying to figure out how to stop but I couldn’t and we broke through a wall. There were cheers, so I figured it was okay to destroy the set. I kept the plane going and more and more of the wall came down.
Outside was a higher realm, near wheat fields and lava flows. There was a big hill and green trees and redwoods. Oh! It was near the new campgrounds! I taxied the plane down a road. I saw lots of trees and a few buildings I could demolish, but was hesitant. “What’s the budget of this movie?” I felt bad about destroying this new place. I got out of the plane and swore I’d push the huge aircraft back up the hill. I actually did! Near the top of the hill was a stump with orange glass boots in it. A guy there asked my name, then called me a pussy with a pussy name. He was weird. I mostly ignored him. The sky was blue with puffy clouds, but there were blurred dark spots in it.
Earlier: I was wearing my soccer uniform, looking for the Blaine team to join them but it was already the semifinals in the tourney. Eventually, Coach Eisentrager came to me and laid it down. He said I could’ve been a captain if I’d stuck with it. It was too late now and my indecision cost me. I was thinking he must be a spirit guide. This dream was interrupted.
References: Tori Amos is a musician. Coach Eisentrager was my soccer coach.
Conscious Effort: When you bring conscious effort into a flow-like activity like playing the piano, you can mess it up completely. Apparently my imaginative link to her messed up her playing. Perhaps it was a partial inhabitation? Note how when I stopped, I was “back in the crowd”.
No Waking Interference: I simply act on my desire to push the airplane thought form up the hill. Without waking interference (projection of physical limitations), there’s nothing to prevent me from doing this.
Soccer Unreadiness: These dreams are usually the same, with variations. Sometimes I show up late and I can’t play, sometimes I’m missing my uniform or shoes or shin guards, and sometimes I’m not allowed on the team.
These dreams happened during a long period where I wasn’t playing soccer, after playing for 11 years as a youth. It’s odd that this sort of dream came up so much. I barely even thought about soccer after I went to college.
Walls Between Worlds: This is a very unique scene change, in that it’s accomplished by crashing through the walls of a school auditorium.
